In the mid 80s, the Browns had a really good OLine. Watch videos of the '86 and '87 Browns teams. Big holes in the run game, a clean pocket for Bernie to throw in.
Then, almost overnight, the OLine got old and became a sieve.
This OLine reminds me of that.

I'm currently writing an article about the four main components behind the offenses inefficiency.
One of those is not only using the RPO game, but how and *when*. When you throw on 1st down, the percentage of a running call after on 2nd down to minimize 3rd down distance was damn near 60%. Because of that anticipation, having better structured and timed RPO calls can help to make those chains shorter for third down, especially in that instance of prior calls. Instead we straight drop or run head first into Haloti Ngata Jr.
You're right about 2nd down, and I'm not a fan.
