Tale of the Tape - Browns @ Raiders
-
Why does Wisconsin not get the Browns game? We hate KC.
Beth Mowins is really calling the game? Sound will be turned off all over Cleveland and Las Vegas, and probably more locales.
Why do we get Beth Mowins... She absolutely stinks at her job...

Raiders are 2 point favorites on average in Vegas sportsbooks. Started out as 1 1/2. So somebody thinks the Browns are better than we do here.

Isn't enough movement to justify putting $ on CLE.
This is also the same Minshew who chewed this defense up at home last year as well. So he's seen quite a bit of what we're going to throw at time.
Conversely, we've seen a lot of what makes him tick, he just no longer has the benefit of the Colts IOL and Johnathan Taylor.
Probably won't stop the Raiders coaches from reaching into a similar bag for their tricks. Those 1/2 gap-zone calls and that one crunch which Taylor popped for 20+ were pretty gnarly.
Raiders have a huge IDL that moves well and we've lost Teller.
Until further notice, I'm taking the home team with the better playing QB.

The purpose of the line is to even out the bets. So if the spread rises in favor of the Raiders, that means they need to get more people to bet on the Browns.
If it goes to Raiders -3.5, I would jump on the Browns getting 3.5.
I think the Browns are better than most here, but I still need to get over 3 to bet on them. I am not insane. lol. Well, a little bit insane.?

Davante Adams added to the Raiders injury report. Limited in practice with a hamstring.
I'm pretty sure Tae will play, but it's worth noting he may not be 100%.

Well when A&M opened 11.5 fav over Arkansas, I told a friend going there to take those points as soon as he stepped off the airplane. But smart money realized that was a ridiculous spread and now it's down to 5.5 point favorite. I'd still take Arkansas. I said the same thing about taking Bowling Green with around 23-24 points after they lost to Penn St by 7 and had two weeks off to get ready for A&M. They lost by 6.

IMO, we are a team that's dead in the water. Without a functioning OL...you're screwed. Watson & Stefanski will get the blame for this upcoming loss.
Hopefully Zinter steps in and plays such that they ain't never taking him out. AND, we'll need some decent play from the Tackles. If for no other reason, so that we can properly evaluate whether we need to draft a starting QB or not in April.
BEING A BROWNS FAN IS A TEST TO SEE HOW MUCH YOU CAN TAKE -
Raiders at home and the home team normally gets 3 for being at home. Raiders -2. This is basically a pick'em game.
I like the under. 20-16 Browns.
Everything is too tight. Stay away from this game.

Jed Wills is a soft marshmallow pussy... They should just cut his ass now...I'm sure we could get a scrub off the street with more heart and desire..

Totally agree. Take Arkansas +5.5 or 6.0 some books. They're gonna win it outright.

Wait, you're an Aggies fan? Telling me Arkansas is going to pull the upset...
Something fishy here.?
+5.5 not enough to take Arkansas.
It's in Jerry World.

Hopefully Maxx Crosby doesn't play. He is dealing with an ankle. Browns OL is going to have long day. Hopefully Stefanski has a game plan that enables Watson to get the ball out quickly.
Update: Both Maxx Crosby and Davante Adams ruled out.
Everything going the Browns way.

Browns now 2 point favorites. After the injuries to the Raiders
Also the Browns haven’t won in the pacific time zone since Brandon Weedon threw for 364 yards and beat the Raiders in December of 2012
GO BROWNS

I've got a feeling that the special teams are going to need to come up big for the Browns.
First astroturf game of the season. Can the Browns figure out a way to get speedsters involved (Jeudy, Moore....dare I say it, Thrash?)

Allegiant Stadium is natural grass. It's a dome stadium, the grass is grown outside and wheeled in stadium for games on a grass tray.
The Cardinals have the same system at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

I'm sure this didn't go over well with certain players.

Antonio Pierce
During his postgame press conference, Antonio Pierce made it clear that he was beyond frustrated with the effort he saw from some of his players. Pierce accused players of making “business decisions” during the game – implying they weren’t giving full effort. He indicated that the team would also make “business decisions” on some of those players.

Oh wow, I knew Arizona had that (I've been there twice), didn't know LV had it too.
I guess the jury should disregard my 2nd statement ?, but damnit get some guys running free.

I'm just glad more here are jumping on the bandwagon for the Browns winning this week. With the Raiders injuries to key players, this thing is more than winnable. Yes, I know the Browns have injuries as well.
Don't break those ankles jumping on and off the wagon.
I say the above to the pessimistic crew here, Bob is not a member of that crew.
