I don't even care much what he did (with his accusers).. He's not lived up to anywhere near to what Dee and Jimmy thought they were getting...... That alone should be the shocking thing they see when they're staring into their wheaties bowls this morning..... Then as you pour the milk... you hear that krinkling popping sound cereal makes from the physical reaction of liquid to a semi solid... I'm sure you can see what transpires from there... LOL!. Those two really ought to be embarrassed for this shit... And they need to dump whomever give them football advice... Guys like Myself, Larry,Cal, CD and Flugs don't have time for retools and rebuilds..... Our buddy Mike who recently left us reminds us of that.. I just want one "Happy ending" before I die... One of the town hoisting up a Lombardi. I'm done with all the flea bag excuses...

Nickers, we will get to see if Stefanski's mantra "Watson gives us the best chance to win".... So far this season he's given us almost nothing to believe that. Personally it strains my credulity in Kev. We'll see soon enough if KS was right or not. I couldn't help but notice how the team seemed energized- with Watson in the locker room.

Good Lord, if anyone bothered to read that Sports Illustrated link, yep- they're right on that- Watson sucks the big one. You don't need to be a football Guru on the level of Tia to see that.  In three plays DTR showed us what DW is lacking in mobility. Pocket awareness? Almost zero. Deep ball accuracy- sucks. Honestly... We're paying Watson $200 million to play like Deshone Kiser or Brandon Weeden- on a bad day.

I'm not very proud as a Browns fan to say with confidence WE'RE #1...  In making the absolute worst trade in NFL history.  Really, I don't like anyone suffering a season ending injury, but this probably will work out for the best from a Browns perspective.  I'll assume the Cap gurus know what they're talking about that it will cost the Browns around $90 million next year to cut bait on the albatross that is DW.  Hey- the Broncos did something similar with Russell Wilson, time for the Browns to follow suit with Watson.

PS While you're at it Mr. Berry time to admit Jed Wills was another draft mistake. That assuming Haslam you still have a job making you the fall guy for bringing in Watson in the first place.

It's certainly the worst Browns trade, yes. Here's a few more off the top of my head...

    *Phipps for Warfield

    *Oliphant for Byner

*Trading picks with the Ratbirds, they got Ngata, we got Winslow Jr.

    NFL history-wise, it's certainly top 3.

*Broncos trade for Wilson (similar to DW deal)

*Saints trade their entire draft to get RB Ricky Williams

*49ers trade to draft Trey Lance ( similar to DW deal). Why they've never gotten beat up for that is a mystery- probably because they are winning with Purdy. Otherwise, Lynch & Shanahan get canned.

  • Don't forget the Herschel Walker trade.

The saga of Mike Phipps - his arrival and departure from the Browns - is so damn intriguing.

Bill Nelsen was damaged goods, and the Browns desperately needed a young future franchise QB, so they traded away arguably one of the best WRs in NFL history. Phipps played for the Browns for years, but not well. Look up his stats, they were abysmal. A spunky QB from California eventually took over at QB and somehow the Browns conned a first rounder out of the Bears for him. A first round pick the Browns used to take Ozzie Newsome.

Mike Phipps - possibly the worst AND best trade in Browns history.

    Bingo.

Seventh rounder Brock Purdy has saved their collective asses.

I am shocked anyone thought he would be a positive addition. Setting aside the serial sex offenses (just for the purpose of this post because how can we set them aside when we spent a decade shitting on stillers fans for Ben) how did his tenure in Houston end? Oh, right, with him quitting on the team and riding the bench.

So far the Browns deal for Watson got Houston a Super Bowl contender.

...that according to WTAM 1100's Bloomdaddy who a week or so ago listed the players Houston acquired from the deal.

Well, we know that Watson is better than DTR.  And I believe Stef when he said Watson gave us the best chance to win.....which would be over DTR & Winston.  I mean, Winston's been around a lot of years now.

I think Winston has always given them the best chance to win, Kevin just said what he has to. His knock is turnovers, but he can still sling it and generate points and first downs. Something the other two guys can’t do.

Not that it matters now frankly, or that it ever mattered. Winston is the only semi capable QB on the roster, but there was always way too many other problems for this team to go deep even if Winston had a resurgence year.

Actually, the quarterback with the best chance to win now plays for the Indianapolis Colts.  But catering to Desuck's fragile ego,  We not only blew up the OC position and released  a guy who the fans would have been screaming for about three games ago. ?

Yes, I researched it.  The Vikings did indeed give away more high draft picks...  However they weren't saddled with Watson's $200 milion+ contract either. It really doesn't matter if it was the worst trade or the third worst. The Browns are screwed for both this season and the next- at least.

Certainly the worst ever, but why did it have to be the Browns to displace them after so many years at #1?

It’s honestly kinda impressive really, how many 11 win teams blow up their offensive coaching staff after making the playoffs with 5 QBs. We accelerated the offense into the dirt in record time.

Winston did briefly show what it looks like when the QB scans the field and throws it downfield, and the result was multiple guys finally getting targets. And a TD that Watson would never have thrown, kinda like Flacco.

We’d really have 4 wins (giants, raiders, bungles) if we had Flacco starting in all likelihood. All teams that basically handed us the game but the offense couldn’t go forwards.

He’d be an upgrade, but you are overlooking how godawful this OLine is. I highly doubt Flacco would have us sitting above .500.

Regardless of how bad they are, the giants, raiders, and bengals handed us the game on a platter - we just refused to take any of them. Our early schedule was quite easy.

For the 2023 Browns, I would agree.

Yeah…I was like WTF they fire AVP after the offense performed like that?

According to the FO talking heads they wanted personnel and coaches that fit our overpriced QB.

Seems like the Browns thing to do, SMH.

Lmfaoooo!! It's always something with this God damn team.. Then why is Kevvy still here?.. He doesn't fit DW's criteria either... The bullshit this team conjours up is just fucking hilarious..

  • We all knew that Watson was going to get hurt this season.  It just happened 6 games later than I thought.  I figured he'd cause his own injury by running and taking on tacklers, or because of the OLine play.  But getting hurt with nobody anywhere near him seems to indicate that he's not worth investing the team in him anymore.  But that's something that Haslem and his henchmen will have to sign off on.

If they must keep Watson, then draft a LT.

If they're moving on from Watson, then draft the tallest drink of water QB with the strongest arm.  And if he turns out to be a Derick Anderson...then draft QB again.
