Do you trade Garrett?

The Browns Board

  • I am advocating for a full on fire sale. Ideally, get two firsts for Garrett because the next time the Browns are good is going to be when he is past his prime. I'd trade him for as little as a first and third. See what offers you get for Ward and Njoku. The offense doesn't have any talent to build around. The stars are getting long in the tooth. Fire Depodesta and Berry. Maybe keep Stefanski - though he really needs to answer for why DTR was backup and not Winston (maybe trying to showcase DTR in garbage time for a possible trade?).

Think I agree with all this. I do think Berry built a good roster in a very competitive division but someone’s going to be fired for the Watson trade

  • After the guy who committed actual felonious assault on live tv and then tried to defend it by doing a half assed jussie smollet decided to lecture the fans on sportsmanship on behalf of a serial sex offender who is the worst quarterback in the league and called him a "model citizen"...

    Yeah I'd trade him.

  • The only reason I would want to see Garrett traded is so he does not have to be another Joe Thomas who played out a stellar career for a shit organization that was so fucked they could not build a winner around him. Nothing has changed and won't until the baseball guy and owner are history at a minimum. Watson trade away of so many #1's plus more was just so fucked it will go down as the worst in NFL history permanently.

    I'm out of likes.

    HARD. TO. ARGUE.

  • I’m sorry but if a Garrett trade doesn’t knock my socks off he can retire as a Brown.  A late first rounder and other stuff nope.  If he wants to bolt after that and not build a retirement mansion in Moreland Hills than so be it.

  • No way.  Both Garrett and Watson have been model citizens.  Why would we want to trade either of them away?

What would you ask for? What would you take?

Thinking on the lines of Khalil Mack to the Bears five years ago.  Two first rounders and at least two other picks 2nd or 3rd round picks preferably not to a Super Bowl perennial team whose pick will be at the end of the first round.

I would 100% take that trade.  There's not a chance of anyone offering that.

I was thinking two first rounders.

If someone offered two first rounders and say two third rounders, I'd drive Myles to that team's headquarters myself. I don't want to trade him, but we have to be honest with ourselves, we are looking at 2016 and 2017 all over again. We have to bite the bullet on the cap hits for the next two years of Watson (instead of continuing to push it down the road) and we need to restock the team with young talent. This is the second oldest roster in the NFL. Getting two first rounders and two third rounders for Myles would be a great way to do that.

When Dutch first asked the question earlier in the season, my answer was somewhere along these same lines.

I ask for three first rounders and plan to land at the above.

  • Somebody call Detroit. They need Garrett to win the SB this time around. They have everything else but now that their defensive stud is out.

We've got two weeks to find out. The NFC is still pretty wide open.

It makes a lot of sense.

I think at minimum the Browns trade Zadarius Smith.

Unfortunately, the rest of the League recognized this circumstance long before the Berean Braintrust.

Whomever makes the call has less leverage than whomever receives the call.

The Browns have less leverage because they need draft picks. I'd be shocked if the feelers aren't out.

  • Lots of speculation out there on a Myles trade. Minn., Dallas,Cincy, Lions, Colts. We need a big time bidding war here to maximize this so we can allow our braintrust to really fuck up the next draft more than any other year in history. Lucy, are you ready to spin that football again????

Not sure this deserves its own thread, but one of my Bengals buddies asked about Denzel Ward. Waddya think guys? What’ll it take?

    2nd and a 4th.

    Or how about a 2026 1st and a fourth
