    Lol

record it and watch it whenever your sad

  • I can only hope that some guardrails exist the next 4 years to prevent Trump and his administration from doing some insane shit. But with actions like putting RFK in charge of health I'm very concerned. I'm assuming this will ultimately set our country back years and it'll be a mess that needs cleaned up in the future.

Here's hoping it's not that impactful...

Hey, guess what, Trump won the electoral vote and general vote (currently about 4,000,000 over Harris)😁

Call me surprised. I honestly thought the Roe vs Wade overturn was really going to be the difference.

Glad to see people prioritized safety & economy over a social issue.

Abortion rights won in almost every state, like 2022. Wild that people can vote to protect reproductive rights but then also vote for the guy that put in motion what was needed to strip those rights to begin with

In my simple thoughts, I think people aren't happy with consumer prices & the state of world peace.

Issues like abortion & DEI most likely took a back seat when folks prioritized the candidates' platforms.

It certainly didn't help that Kamala was so vague in interviews, not really offering a whole lot of substance, just deflection.

PS- $500 million on an Ohio Senate seat spent between the 2 parties. What a waste

It seems like Kamala was held to a double standard in how she needed to provide thorough, 27 point detailed plans on every one of her policies where Trump could just talk about Arnold Palmer's dick.

  • And to think most of you won't even be around anymore when we're truly dealing with the implications stemming from the next 4 years.

I followed closely, as I was truly undecided after RFK bailed.

One week before the election at a college campus, she couldn't answer students questions on the border, just deflected.

She had a plan for Black Men seeking entrepreneurship, and a 1st time home buyer plan. Everything else was deflection.

For as organized as the Dems have been, it was a dismal campaign IMHO.

  • I don't hang out in here but thought I'd add my thoughts if anyone cares.

56 years ago I was born in SoCal and have lived here for every second since. My parents taught me that "Democrats were for small business and the working man and Republicans were for big business". So being the son and future partner of a small business owner, I registered as a Democrat on my 18th birthday... Fast forward to the 3rd year of Obama's 2nd term and I officially changed to a registered Independent.

Even though I live in CA, I still voted for Trump yesterday.

My takeaways from the results are:

    1) America wants change. The vast majority of American people were/are sick and tired of how this country is being run and they just want change... even if it's from a person they truly don't like as a man... they just want change.

    2) Here in Los Angeles county we finally got rid of DA George Gascon and his liberal soft on crime policies that have created a place where people walk into a store and grab whatever they want and just walk right the fuck on out without any consequences whatsoever..... and it was a landslide result in the 70% region.

We also passed a law that makes these types of crimes felonies again as well as other drug related crimes too... you know, making crime illegal again.

^ My takeaway from those 2 super important local issues (to me) says only one thing.....

Even liberals are sick of liberal policies.

She failed on the border because she tried to match the conservatives. She isn't going to out conservative Trump on the border. Being around more liberal college kids she couldn't just repeat conservative talking points.

Again though, she was absolutely held to a double standard on how detailed her policies had to be vs trump.

I agree it was an awful campaign. It had a chance against another awful campaign, but didn't win.

I'd like to think they go back to the drawing board and realize what Americans actually want but I doubt it

You can tell Woodelia is angry, she starts with the subtle ageist remarks.😁

The mudslinging is awful on both sides. Major turn off, but it seems to work, or at least bring results closer. 51-49% or 52-48% isn't a decisive outcome.

America wants more compromising, but the parties don't hear it.
