The road Steeler game is upon us.  They're in first and we're in last.  I'd say that it doesn't get a whole lot worse than this...but that'd be wrong.  We've seen worse than this.  We have some pretty good players.  We just need more of 'em.

OK, so the numbers show that the Steelers are pretty much 19th when you're talking about the pass.  And we've dropped to 20th against the pass!  And more incredible than that, we've risen to 11th in passing offense!  Winston's 497 yards passing against the Broncos sure changed the numbers in just one game.  But not the outcome.  We still lost.

We've dropped to 30th at running the ball....and the Steelers are #4 against the run.

And, of course, the glaring stat...the Steelers are +15 in turnover differential while we're at minus 8.    B-F-B   (Beautiful, Freakin' Beautiful)

Looks like we're going to need Winston to throw another bunch of TD passes again this week....except we'll be needing them thrown only to our guys.

Again, we need to lose in order to improve our draft position......but 'F' That!  It's the Steelers!

At this point it won't matter where we finish if Berry is still shopping for the groceries...

    Sweep the Steelers

Me either.  Well, at least not when the game is going on.  🙂    I could never root for a Browns player to miss a FG...or drop a pass...fumble...fall down....or anything like that.

    Insanity.

    We don't deserve this lol

  • Pretty widespread viewership for the Browns game this weekend. It looks like parts of every state will get the game, except for WA, OR, NJ and CT.

Granted, some states only have little parts that get the game, but if you happen to be the lucky guy living in Hornbeak, TN, well you get the Browns game in the comfort of your Hornbeaky home.

All of Ohio gets the game, too, including my usually forsaken homies in Van Wert.

And we never ever deserved it.  Browns fans love their team.  They're loyal.  Loudly supportive...and loudly critical, which is a sign of engagement.  For the longest time we were given a team that promoted apathy.  And it was because ownership did not know how to select a head coach and general manager.

I'm convinced Haslam's management structure is the problem.

He simply doesn't trust coach/GM to make decisions. He relies on DePodesta too much ( IMHO). So there's too many cooks in the kitchen.

    Modell was similar.

Too bad we can't pick our owner.

The commonality between Haslam and Modell is both are always looking for the quick fix or a way to buy.. Or cheat their way to a championship... The only time Modell ever got it right is when he unfortunatly moved our team and let Ozzie run the team which for me was an ever bigger slap in the face... I even lost a little respect for Ozzie helping that POS... But I get it was a job..... Stiil... I would've never shit on the fans like that and that's how I still view it so fuck Ozzie too!... When he took that job I took it as a personal slam on the fans... The ones who supported and helped enrich his career... Call me old and bitter but that's how I feel... Cheated...

Remember when Mo Carthon called a fullback pass on like 4th and 1? I think it would have been Vickers who attempted to pass?

Agree. Ozzie was a legend here but damn. Watching  the Ratbirds win a SB so soon after bolting was rough. I'll never get over it

He also called a play-action pass for a Hail Mary attempt.

We could go on for a long time.  Like when Pettine tried a 60+ yard FG with Devon Hester awaiting at the goal line.  TWICE!  The first time being just after the Falcons idiot coach called time out to 'ice' him...so that we could all see Hester field the ball.  That wasn't enough for Pettine.  He had him kick it again and Hester was stopped just short of scoring a TD by Bitonio who said, I Just Kept Runnin'.

BTW - after beating the Steelers a couple of weeks ago, I don't think we stand a snow ball's chance in hell of winning this game.

  • Helluva game on tonight, Packers at Lions.
