I'd offer him whatever he wants!  But consider the organizations.  Green Bay has been a solid club for decades.  Compare them to our organization.  I'm not sure he would want to come back.

    I'd be shocked.

For that to even be a chance in hell, DePodesta would have to be fired.

I think we'd all be okay with that!

The one thing that would bring us all together. ☺️

  • Get back under the center. Invest in the OLine this off-season. Add another good TE to go with Njoku and run multi-TE sets. Use play-action. Draft a QB that Stefanski feels he can work with long-term in the mid-rounds as a legit backup at worst. Get Kirk Cousins to start next year. Scout 2026 Draft-eligible QBs.

As I was writing this, I'm watching ESPN. Rex Ryan was bitching about how Atlanta used Cousins this year. "People say he's done, he had a horrible year, well he's a great play-action, under the center QB.... which Atlanta never ran!" ?

Speaking of which, I think I read Rex Ryan is getting interviewed by the Jets.

? It looks like a strong possibility.

Back in college, any time I had a bad day I'd make sure I talked to this 1 guy that lived in the basement at our fraternity house because I knew his day was gonna be far worse.  Never failed Dutch.  I say that to say this - it's nice to know that the Jets and Bears are still around to remind us the outlook can always be worse.  Not that I want Jimmy to keep the franchise down with that type of company.

The Bears used the #2 pick in 2017 on Mitch Trubisky, the #11 pick on Justin Fields in 2021 and the #1 pick on Caleb Williams in 2024.

Can you imagine if Williams flames out? ?

Fields played well for the Steelers this season.  Caleb Williams looks legit but that offense is horrendous.  OC needed to be fired.

Obviously being a high draft pick QB tends to land you on a shit team - something we know all too well.

I've heard Jets player publicly complaining and wanting out.  To this teams credit we're not seeing that.

Justin Fields was the #11 overall pick four years ago, now can't beat out a QB the Broncos paid a ton of money not to be on their team.

I believe it regarding the Jets.  As for the Browns, I'm glad we're not seeing that.  Another major concern for our owner and perhaps his FO is the Medical/Sports Med/Strength Training program.  The volume of injuries and reinjuries on this team continues to be troublesome.  Sure, all teams have injuries - but not to volumes we're seeing seemingly every year.

For sure.  Unless they're a guaranteed #1 lock you should never draft these dopes.  Hopefully the Browns FO has openings soon. I know a few guys here who could fill them.  Would fit right in with the brain trust. ??

    I agree.

There's some guys on here who could bring their "15 year olds playing Madden" skills to the Browns.

There is also Dallas. Their owner might be worse then ours

Right, he basically got canned for having 2 strikes on him, not 3.

Bringing in OBJ, hiring Freddy Kitchens

I also wonder if drafting Baker at the time was held against him.

Dorsey was fired immediately after the season ended that the guy he drafted #1 overall showed up to training camp fat and out of shape, and as someone on the coaching staff or front office described "It appears he never opened up the playbook all off-season." This lazy, entitled behavior was a big reason the 2019 season was torpedoed.

    Could be.

My opinion is the OBJ signing was bad for Baker, bad for the Browns

    I suppose.

I'm not a OBJ fan, but he immediately left the Browns and went to the Rams, and he sure didn't seem to harm the Rams or Matt Stafford that season.
