The firings have begun

Despite the record that FO deserves more credit for - Pierce is a damn good coach at the mercy of QBs like Minshew and O'Connell. Unfortunately the Broncos drafted Bo Nix at #12 overall as the 6th QB selected right before the Raiders drafted Brock Bowers at #13.
If Tom Brady is getting sufficient say as a minority owner - I bet he's pushing for Vrabel (who is rumored to want Josh McDaniels as his OC wherever he lands).
McDaniels makes a living going back to places.

Oh I got bothered enough to kick the obnoxious troll off for a couple of weeks. He'll be nowhere to be seen if the Eagles beat the crap out of his beloved Pack.
You should have kept him on here long enough to watch the Bad News Bears beat GB with the Eagles on deck. Then again, who could have predicted the Bears beating anybody?

Watching Packer boy run his mouth for so long was just like watching that inevitable train wreck coming in slow motion.

Vrabel going the the Pats per Adam Schefter
Homecoming: Mike Vrabel and the Patriots reached a multi-year agreement to make him New England’s next head coach, per sources.
Vrabel now is the seventh individual to become the head coach for a franchise he once helped win a Super Bowl as a player, joining Jerod Mayo, Bart Starr, Forrest Gregg, Art Shell, Jeff Saturday and Jason Garrett.

Rumors that there could be mutual interest between the Raiders and Deion Sanders for the open HC job.
Titans take Cam Ward at #1, we call the Raiders and see how bad Deion would want his son. 2nd rounder this year, 1st next?
We'd have a stud fall to us at #6.

I'm sure it's possible. Not sure what they'd get in return for taking down from #2 to #6, but it could be a great idea.

If Ward and Sanders went 1 and 2, that would mean someone out of Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter, Mason Graham, Will Johnson, Tetairoa McMillan, Kelvin Banks, or Will Campbell would be sitting there.
I'd be more worried what I could get out of the Raiders NEXT year, honestly.

Or maybe the interest is only coming from Deion.

Both coaches are happy to be free from hell. No high quality coaches will EVER even consider Cleveland as their landing spot.
Now if you will excuse me, I am off to 1265 Lombardi Avenue. The Shrine Of Pro Football.
Prime Rib Shish Kabobs are part of the tailgate menu today.
Beautiful day for football in Titletown! Sunny, 12 degrees with a 8 mph wind. Might want to bring a light jacket.
Enjoy the greatest rivalry in sports Browns fans.

If you're opining? The Browns moving down from #2 to #6 is worth 1,000 draft points. Means Next year's first + probably a player. What I didn't realize until I looked it up today- the Browns and Titans flip picks in the second round. So Cleveland has the first pick in the second round. Historically that pick has a lot of value for teams looking to move up in the second round.

I love us having the first pick of Day 2... we get to reset the board and theoretically take the best player left, plus you know some team is going to really want that pick.
If I were the Browns, I'd be more concerned about what I could get in NEXT year's draft if I trade down, because I'm not really high on Sanders or Ward this high. I'd want to set myself up for the best shot of being able to move around and get a QB next year.
But the more I think of it, I think the Browns take a QB at #2.

Mark Davis is at the top of the dumb owners scale, surpassing even jimmy haslam. So I could see this happening.

This would be a great idea if this FO understood the draft. Let me just shed some light on my walk with this franchise.
As a 60 year old fan of this team hearing about next year - next year never comes. We're like Linus waiting for Great Pumpkin on Halloween. It never arrives.
As much as I like trading back for more picks, we've had FOs that spent all their energy making the trade-backs happen only to reach on guys (ie; they'd take someone in round 5 that an analyst like Kiper/McShay would say most teams they talked to had the guy projected for round 7 or UFA. When it came time to explain it - it became the ole "the coaching staff is going to develop them." Guess what would happen to that coaching staff about 8-9 months later... They got fired. The next daft was a rinse and repeat. Love em or hate him, since the 70s Pittsburgh had an ownership family that made it a pretty easy place for their HCs to frequent the playoffs. Arguably the best drafts were when Chuck Noll was there. They attacked the draft so they were ready for every great pick that landed on their draft slot. They were prepared to BUILD their team. We should be drafting near the top of every round - so let's go get some now.
For once in my life, can we get a FO GM that knows how to draft? It's a very big reason things never change here. The guy we had John Dorsey has been doing this for Detroit the last few years or so. The OLD Detroit teams liked hearing about trading for next year. This one attacked the draft so they can attack their opponents.
Do I sound like I need another cup of coffee?

Yep, I think Dorsey was the best GM since the Browns returned in ‘99.
