  • The stars have aligned such that rehearsal was switched from Thursday to Wednesday night this week.  -  And there was much rejoicing  -

So, how can I watch the carnage live?  I no longer have cable or satellited TV.

I'm sure you could stream it, or simply follow a draft tracker on ESPN or CBS sports.com

  • Three days until the best three days for a Cleveland Browns fan!

I wonder if our departed Packers fan will be there? ?

If anyone attends & you see a guy with 1 or 2 black eyes - tell him we said hello...

  • I'd love to drop back a bit, pick up someone's first next season and still end up with a helluva player.

I think by Travis Hunter's second contract he'll pretty much be playing on one side of the ball, negating his "generational" skillset, and Abdul Carter's injuries have kind of spooked me.

We are walking away from this draft with Hunter or Hunter and Sanders. Hoping it is not the latter.  I can deal with the former and it will work out as long as we don’t make him 100% WR.  His elite tool is going up and taking the ball away from a WR.

But Seven years from now we will wish we drafted Carter. And Carter suited up for 42 games and played in 42 games at PSU.

I’m okay with almost anything but please no trade up in the first round for Milroe

Fans of other teams have no idea what we've gone through.  They just don't.

Here's a Caddyshack response to your Milroe concern above...

FWIW, I think Ohio State's DEs are going to be underrated in this draft.  Hear me out.  When the Buckeyes had their backs to the wall against opponents after teams had a 1st and goal to go situation - they were #1 in college football at not giving up TDs as it was brought up in one of their playoff games.  The 2 fellers on the outside had a lot to do with this.

For all the hype Carter got this year for his 12 sacks in 16 games - JT Tuimoloau had 12.5 sacks in 16 games.  That said, his frame at 6'4" 270 lbs holds up well against the run.  It might have been more sacks if Jack Sawyer on the other edge didn't get himself 9 sacks too. Sawyer might not be as draft sexy to many; but he's very good against the run in my opinion in his 6'4" 260 lbs frame.  In the NFL, if you're only great at pass rushing - they're gonna test you on the edge in the running game.  Here's the thing, these 2 guys are being projected for round 2.

Seeing how bad we were at scoring points though - it's difficult for me to hope we prioritize edge rush. The Browns had the best edge rusher in the business and it didn't keep us from free-falling to 3 wins in 17 games.  It would be nice if we had an additional 2nd round pick or 2 this year; because it could get fun in a hurry.

  • Regardless of who or what we pick... AB has to absolutely nail this draft or he's adios if we don't sniff the Playoffs this season...

To get a 1st next year we would have to trade back more than a bit.  I doubt you could start talking about a 1st until you dropped below pick 15 or so.

If we dropped to 9 with New Orleans it would have to be for a first imo

I don't know if he has to sniff the playoffs but we do need to see at least a couple of players make solid contributions this season.  At least a good starter and a semi starter,.  In addition, we need to see at least 1 more player look a solid addition for the future.

We don't need a class of rookies bound to be mediocre special team guys as their ceiling.

It really doesn't end with this years guys.  The 22 draft was a waste.  The 23 draft is where we should see guys like Tillman, Jones, and Wypler start to take control of their positions.  The 23 draft is where guys like Hall and Zinter need to man up.

If those players don't start to show out, I don't care how good this draft turns out.

IMO if we drop to #4 it would have to be for a 1st, but it doesn't work that way.

I suppose that current picks are more valuable than future picks.  I also said 15 or so...or so could be up or down, so we might be quibbling over a 2-3 pick gap.

At the end of the day I don’t see anyone going to be willing to give up a first to go and get Shedeur Sanders, so it’s probably all a moo point.

I'm wondering what kind of offers they'll get for the right to draft Hunter.

I don’t think any that would knock our proverbial socks off

Yes, and pick up some day 2 picks.  We need some good players and equally important, rookie contracts.

    Nope.

    I want 2026 picks.
