Lefties only FEEL that they would love to live in North Korea

Scientists are especially interested in their living arrangements, once described by Cold War ornithologists as communism. Acorn woodpeckers (Melanerpes formicivorus) aren't exactly shrinking violets.

He’s got the facts right about North Korea, but I doubt the guy escaped from NK.
While North Korean children are taught English in schools, they rarely speak it. This guy is fluent.
Secondly, indigenous Koreans that speak English have a discernible accent, this guy has a very slight accent, but it ain’t Korean.
I know this being around Koreans most of my adult life.
He is from either here or another country not Korea.
I would be floored if he truly was from North Korea.

Which link are you commenting on? Cool insight. Are there differences between North and South Koreans when speaking English? I figure South Koreans work harder at it.

The link in Cals very first post.
The language is the same in both countries.
You’re exactly right. South Koreans work much harder at it, thus better at it.
North Korea is a closed society. So isolated that even the common citizen has no access to the internet. What do they need English for?Have you ever seen the satellite view of both countries at night?
North Korea never forgets to turn out the lights at bedtime.

Incredible. I knew the quality of life was very different between the 2 sides but that is a stark contrast.
I’m a fan of the food. I figure you are too.

Absolutely. Korean food is not easily palatable to we westerners as is Chinese or Japanese, thus the Korean restaurant scene is not quite as popular here as the other two...but I really started to like it once I got used to it.
There are a few in Cleveland, one off Brookpark rd., another on either Payne or Superior, forgot which.
Speaking of which North Korea feeds their massive million member army while many of their children are starving or malnourished.

Korea House off of Superior in Asiatown. Next to Kim's Oriental Market. There's also a Korean BBQ spot in that mall / Asian cultural center
Love Korean food. One of my close friends from college was from South Korea. I visited Seoul years ago, did the DMZ / reunification museum tour, etc.

I have no idea what's in Cal's Facebook links. But we've seen the "I've escaped from NK, it's terrible, and the liberals will make it like that HERE!" grift a lot the last few years. It gets eaten up on right wing podcasts, etc. Especially that one chick with the bigger tits. Double whammy for the audience / grift

Superior is what I thought, but wasn’t positive.
Kims Market used to be on the other side of Superior. Sold to the current owners and relocated there. The wife and I knew the former owners, who have since set up a new business in Concord.
Since we’ve been on the subject, a nice American dream story. The Baeks were immigrants, of the legal variety. They began their life’s work here in Cleveland as factory workers. In the summer they worked as street vendors selling ice cream and hot dogs.
Somewhere along the way the Baeks were able to purchase that rickety old building on Superior and start their little store. They lived on the second floor.
They worked that store 7 days a week earning enough to be able to send their son through law school, while “movin’ on up” to a deluxe home on the West SideThey achieved the American dream through hard work and sacrifice without all the free stuff that the illegals are entitled to.
