You're right about the tickets, though there is a category I'm wondering about which might severely inflate that list - resale.

I personnally know four people with season tickets.  They resale half of them, the bulk of those resales over face value.

Two other people I know bought medicore season tickets with the sole purpose of marking them up for profit.

Obviously I don't have access to those numbers. But I'm positive my experience isn't unique.

How is that possible with this team?

My buddy who had season tickets (he stopped after last season) said that he could barely give away his tickets most times. The only time he actually made some scratch was when he sold the Jets Thursday night game tickets in 2023.

In case anyone is wondering why this match-up would have intrigue regardless of calendar year - check it out.  If there's ever been a team that can screw-up easier than the Browns - it's been the Jets.  Even worse, it seems like they haven't wanted anyone messing with that outrageous mojo either.  The best example I can think of is 1986.  The Browns went 12-4 in the regular season with some innovative spread formations (just 1 year after handing off to Mack & Byner for over 1000 rushing yards apiece).  New OC Lindy Infante and his accurate and cerebral young QB Kosar were putting a lot of blitz happy defenses into deer in highlights mode or making them feel like raccoons crossing highways at night instead of counting sheep.  Yes, our Browns had a well deserved home field advantage throughout the playoffs on their plate.  They also had the Conference Best defense against the run, which only helped their bump and run tandem of corners (Minnifield & Dixon) thrive on many-a-3rd and long situations.  What could possibly go wrong? Let's hold off on all that today while we honor the Jets here.

Here comes the NY Jets after beginning the year 1-1 before they went on a 9 game winning steak.  All of a sudden, former Citadel & NFL Punter and NFL Analyst/Commentator Paul Maguire decides to say for all to hear that the red-hot NY Jets at 10-1 wouldn't win another football game.  My thought at the time?  Philosophically speaking - that's outrageous! ?  People thought he either lost his mind or he had some grapefruits under the acorn.  I will say this - he was 1 very funny Irishman.  Well, the Jets being the Jets even had Jimmy the Greek wishing he could predict outcomes like Paul Maguire when the Jets lost every one of their last 5 games.

So here comes a match-up where the Browns at home we're looking like they were supposed to give the Jets the mercy flush they needed right?  One problem.  They actually kicked off and the Jets got off to a 20-10 lead. Meanwhile, the home crowd in Cleveland was hoping Paul Maguire would be on TV somewhere making an announcement like "Don't worry about it Cleveland.  If you can't beat the Jets today - they'll beat themselves for you."   With an apparent incomplete on 2nd and 24 with the Browns at their own 18 yard line - Mark Gastineau volunteered to be the bad guy with the roughing the passer penalty that gave the seemingly lifeless Browns - a pulse that worked.  Oh yeah, in order to be a REAL bad ass - Gastineau wasn't just gonna try to hurt himself some Bernie Kosar.  He was going kick his own team right out of the playoffs.  Okay, the Browns went on to tie the game which pushed it into overtime.  In overtime, the Browns finally decided to end this thing with a 23 yard FG attempt from Mark Mosely.  Finally right?  WRONG!  He missed it.  I never thought I'd cry saying the following 2 words: "Game on!"  Are you FREAKING kidding me?  For a game feeling like nobody wanted to win it - action speaking louder than words showed more players on both sides committed their heart and soul to a refusal to lose it (even Gastineau this time).  It wasn't going to be pretty; so in the 2nd overtime of this hard fought battle - Mark Mosely got another chance.  This time it was a 27 yard attempt that was successful and the Browns WON!

  •  Looking like I'm going to have an extra ticket for training camp, Monday the 28th.

I was origjnally supposed to go with a couple guys I played ball with, but my lineman can't get the time off work.

Opening up the extra ticket to anyone on the board.  They'll be transferred to me that Sunday, day before camp.  Once they're in my account, I can send the extra out immediately to you.

Camp time is 2pm, gates open at 1pm.  Post here or message me.

     Thanks

  • Beautiful, hot ass day at training camp.   All my Dawgs....follow along on Twitter.

  • Watching LB drills now.  You forget that Bush is 5'11.  Dude is my height.

Watson is the least laterally fluid of this LB group.  Showed up on tape, shows up in drills.

  • Jenkins spending extended time on the bike.

  • The emotional leader of this team is Myles.  This has been him with every member of the defense and half of the offense including every rookie.

Some media guy said that Sampson looked small next to Dillon Gabriel. ?

    Judkins really screwed the Browns.

Supposedly Sanders had a good day throwing the ball...

...just thinkin......had this happened before Chubb signed with Houston, would Berry perhaps have called him?  I don't know how much or little they thought of the game that he had left in him.

Sure, they kept going back to the Kareem Hunt well, so perhaps?

Second year in a row the Browns take an Ohio State player in the second round only to have them sabotage their rookie season going all Ghoolie/Ike Turner on the ladies.

Sampson isn't tall... he's 5'8 ish.  But he's built like a RB.  Low and strong, that's how he's supposed to be.

Sanders was the most consistent passer today in terms of ball placement.  Had a great strike, climbing a collapsing pocket and putting up a backside pylon throw that the WR, couldn't tell which one, elevated for.

It's clear this team had big plans in mind for QJ.

I have a lot more I put on voice recorder - easier than writing or typing.  I'll have it on here and twitter links tomorrow morning.

    Big teaser though....

Unless Pickett has upped his passing game, I don't give a fuck about a 67 yard rush in camp.       That means Sanders is #2 de facto, if it isn't official.   And he looked every bit the part today.

     More to follow.    Go Brownies!

  • As many of you know, since I post their videos here from time to time, I watch the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show pretty regularly. They talk about the QB situation a lot. I'm pretty sure we will talk about these four QBs a ton here too.

But IMO I can't help thinking we are going to look back to this season and laugh in the future, because we will talk so much about four quarterbacks that long-term meant little to the Cleveland Browns. I think the QB who is the long term starter is still on a college campus today, waiting to get drafted by the Browns in 2026.

And I keep hoping that it's Sanders (Gabriel is a little guy).  That way we can add two 1st round picks (and their friendly contracts) to our team and really take a couple of steps forward.  ( but I hope for world peace too, and that doesn't seem to work out either )

Finding your franchise QB in the 5th round would be outstanding, and would set the Browns up for years. They'd have a cheap QB for four seasons, plus as you said could use two (probably high) first rounders on other positions.

Just a question.  Do you really think Shedeur's talent in what was sized up as a weak QB draft is really just 5th round in this draft?  Keep in mind, his dad is still the HC of Colorado just 4-5 weeks or so from their 1st game.  It shouldn't be the huge distraction that critics will want to exercise their told you so's with.

The QB inviting more worry is the one they drafted in round 3 (that I liked but not that early) just 1 round after they drafted the wrong Ohio State RB in round 2.  In those 2 spots, a very good LT and/or Defensive Back could have been drafted. Again, they had already added another 1st round pick for next year. Drafting 2 rookie QBs and bringing in 2 veterans QBs sends the message - "we're not very confident in ourselves but we need you to be confident in us."

This assures me, Jimmy's organization would have given up on a guy like Josh Allen in the very first signs of inevitable growing pains.  It also tells me this ever so elusive "next year" has the same control freak at the top that doesn't understand how to develop a young/rookie QB.  It's NOT that I'm this enormous Shedeur Sanders fan - it's that this franchise can never differentiate what treatment plan needs to be prioritized in terms of the disease or the symptoms of it.  Just my opinion, they still don't get it - so fans/people will be talking about 2026 1st round QB prospects.  I think a guy like Tommy Rees gets it - but a control freak owner with a fraction of his football IQ does not. Hope I'm wrong!

  • This is a better angle of the Sanders TD throw I was talking about.

The pocket presence and slide was top notch. There was a comparable call given to Gabriel and he struggled to stand call and deliver downfield.

Remember, the plan was not to draft 2 QB's.  They already had Pickett & Flacco and they were going to add Gabriel as the developmental QB who might be next year's backup QB to the draft pick.  Sanders just happened to fall all the way to the 5th round.  I mean, here we are in desperate need of a franchise QB...and here's a 5th round pick that many thought should've been a round 1 or 2 QB.  I think it was smart to go ahead and add him to the mix.  Who knows if he turns out to be special or not?   It's worth a shot.
