The 2024 Analysis thread - Dawn of The 9

And how do you spell Coleman and Ogbah? C O U L D A B E E N H E N R Y. LOL!? With 3 stiffarms. Stupid F'N F. O.

Second offering. This one took a while, would be great if I could retire and focus on football full time ?
Don't forget to give the Facebook page a like.
-
This is something I'm incredibly proud to be apart of.
My business partner is the driving force behind this, but I've been adding in as much as I can from the film analyst, metric parameters and football I.Q. side of things.
This model is the combination of both analytics and old school film analysis (provided by yours truly) that produces a metric I feel is about the most comprehensive and complete grading scale/score you'll find being used by NFL evaluators.
There has been a shit ton of hours put into this, I'm sure some of you noticed I'm not around here anywhere near as much as I used to be. And there will be more hours to come as we work to continuously find ways to improve our scoring/grade system.
We're soft launching a month out from the draft. I'd appreciate anyone and everyone to go take a look, comb through and give us constructive feedback. Thanks to all of you in advance and I hope you enjoy.
-
@calfoxwc Will be pleased to hear that Tyler Warren has an SPS score that would project him at #6 all time in our grading model. With a project of top 12 in draft capital needed to pick him.

This won't make you feel any better. Because he was drafted 45th overall - it looks like they didn't want him in the 2nd round either. ?
They almost did the same thing to Nick Chubb when they used their 1st of two 2nd round picks on OG Austin Corbett.
Doesn't that seem like a very strange way for this team and many others to go out of their way to pretend RB is no longer a top priority in the draft? That said, all the years the Browns had Jim Brown they only won 1 Championship just like the Bears with Payton (and more so because of their defense that far into Payton's career).
This was just a coincidence as a kid in Western NY that Archie Griffin and Leroy Kelly & Greg Pruitt reeled me into those 2 teams. On top of that, my dad with the "you shoulda seen Jim Brown and Marion Motley. Even better were the gorgeous uniforms and helmet colors. The 1st impression I had of Michigan and their putrid uniforms was a dog lifting his leg on a fire hydrant. Anyway, I've always loved the running game in football. Look what it did for the Eagles...
After we get our future QB in this draft, I wouldn't mind seeing the Browns draft Arizona State's Cam Skattebo in a mid round. I even shared his pass receiving stats because he does it all. Surprisingly he shares the same weakness Jim Brown had - blocking for others (including his QB). Then again, Jim Brown never missed 1 game to injury so...

Oh I was fully aware of them passing over Chubb for Corbett and cussing up a storm until they took Chubb next.
I don't get to cuss them live this year since I'll be in San Antonio entertaining sister in law and her husband down from Lexington, Mass.
I'll save it for later after I google up the results.?

Last post and bump in this thread. With the help of my friend and business partner at Brainy Ballers, they've been teaching me video and audio capture, overlay, editing, etc etc. Something I've had the vision and mindset for to combine with my breakdowns for 10 years now. Better late than never.
I'm going to be posting short clips, 30-60 seconds; hopefully every day or every other day, between the times where I'll release longer, more detailed clips. I'll be focusing on where I'm asked to. But when those pieces are done, I'll produce more Browns analysis. I have a bunch of clips from Sam Kamara and Sanders I want to put together.
But for right now, this is the first one I've ever produced, start to finish, on my own.
Hopefully you guys have enjoyed my work over the years, I appreciate all the reacts, comments, messages, texts and calls. Going forward it'll all be moved exclusively to Twitter, YouTube and the website ( Brainyballers.com )
For right now this is the twitter, the first place to check. I'll follow up and edit this post with the YouTube link when it's ready. If you have watched my posts over the years and found them informative - toss me a follow, a like, a repost, tell your Browns family and friends.
Thanks again guys. <3.

It’s good and l get the gist of the clip. It’s basically a comment about how it’s a positive that Dart worked through his progressions to get to his 3rd option.
However, the thing that sticks in my crawl about it is you used the term “backside sail” and l have no idea what that means, but it sounds really cool and l want to know what it means.
You’ve kinda got the opportunity to enlighten football fans doing this, and let’s be honest, we’re not always the brightest bunch. I’ve been watching this game for 40 years now and it’s easy to miss things. Sure, we all see the big catch or the big run, but we don’t always see the big block that makes it possible.
You’ve got a great mind for this and l read everything you post with much interest, but l don’t always understand the terminology. I only say this because l’m sure l’m not alone and l believe your content could hit next level marketing if you take for granted the rest of us are dumber than you but eager to learn.

Thanks for the feedback bubs.
You're not the first person to say this. My business partner wants me to do a football 101 at some point. Essentially what you're asking - a series of clips explaining offense, defense, language, personnel, formations, philosophy, position groups, etc etc.
The quicker clips, 30-90 seconds, will be like the one above. I try to fit as much possible into that time frame. Especially right now for exposure and content.
At the moment I'm limited in my editing ability and the program is entry level. As the skills grow, so will the videos in length, detail and education from the ground up. Bare with me and be patient.
Took me about 15 hours over a couple weeks to learn what you saw in the link. Give me another 15 hours and you'll see improvement.
Then I can more efficiently produce longer, more detailed clips that are as educational as they are about analysis.

The football 101 clips sound like a good idea. There are short attention spans everywhere on social media. Grab ‘em and wow ‘em gets them coming back for more.
You’re on to something and l think you got the goods to make it work. Keep going man.

Totally agree. Us really old school footballers don't always understand the terminology, but over time figure it out. Like "Dig route" for example. That I figured out by going back on clips to see what the WR was actually doing physically. Pretty sure now it's like the old "down and in". Correct me if I still have that wrong please.

Yeah, that was quite the head scratcher at the time Aggies. Would you believe Carolina gave Corbett (who started at OG for a SB champion) a big contract to remain there this year? The Browns just overwhelmed him early with making him learn the Center, Guard and Tackle positions. It's a hard enough adjustment going from college to the NFL let alone making him know all the different assignments on the line that fast. Think about it, he's a starter his team valued enough to pay him enough to stay as a part of their plan. This is his 8th season already. This league has instant impact guys; but it also those that take a little more time to develop...

Yep, I knew the TT stunt but setting depth by carrying the guard deep into the center as part of it is a new term for me. Thanks and keep 'em coming.

That’s excellent. Short, engaging and informative. “TT stunt” and “setting depth” are terms football fans may have heard before but maybe didn’t know what they meant, and this succinctly explains it.
I can’t wait to see what you do with Oline play. Few things fire me up at the beginning of a play than seeing a pulling guard.

I still contend one of the most beautiful sights these eyes have ever gazed upon is the Lombardi sweep.
