The guy received a no bill from the grand jury.  I don't know how that makes him a thug.  Do you have any information I haven't seen that makes him a thug?

Itt just means they didn't indict him... They never said he was "innocent"

I’ve said it before, but the qualities it takes to be a good football player are not always the same qualities it takes to be a good civilian. Aggression, tenacity and anger are great for football. Not so great for other aspects of life.

I don’t know what the mystery formula is to find the ones who ride that fine line, but the Browns are sure trying to find it, lol.

Either way he’s basically a udfa so there’s not much at stake.

Not always.  JJ Watt, not to be confused with TJ, did some incredibly generous stuff in Houston after Mother Nature went violent there.

When I lived in Nashville and they severe weather inclusive of tornados and flooding - Steve McNair went door to door helping people with his epic chainsaw.  He might not have been a good husband - but people in that City adored Steve McNair & Eddie George.  It wasn't just about how great they were on the field - it was about what they were willing to return to the community.  McNair was a flannel shirt and faded jeans kind of feller.  I never met the guy; but heard from hand full that did...

    Because he's black, ballpeen.

You literally can't be this obtuse regarding nickers, can you?

Johnny Manziel literally bounced an ex-girlfriends head off the door glass of his car... Baker Mayfield ran from the cops when getting arrested... find me a post on here where nickers calls either a thug.

I'm afraid you have our system of justice somewhat confused. You don't have to prove yourself innocent. You are innocent until proven guilty. Both Bond and Judkins are innocent because they were not proven guilty and any charges were dropped for lack of evidence of guilt. So I say welcome to the Brown both of you. You have an opportunity to have productive NFL careers. Take it.

Steve McNair was one of my favorite NFL QB's... Jeff Fisher held him back.. I was very sad when McNair passed away.. I was also a big Warren Moon fan til he started smacking his ol'Lady around.. Thats just a huge No No.. I don't care who you are..

no.. no confusion... The ball is in their court (no pun).. But I'm just sick of the NFL in general becoming a test kitchen for violent, drug riddled players..

They don't have to say he was innocent.  He is already presumed to be innocent. The burden of proof in on the accuser, not the accused.

It doesn't matter what you think.  It only matters what you can prove.

Ironically, I think he got shot by his girlfriend because she felt he was cheating on her with his wife (that he still lived with). A lot of people in the entertainment world regardless of how charitable they can be in the community - just aren't good spouses.  Nashville loved the guy as did his teammates so there was a lot of good in the guy. Nobody's perfect...

Can you imagine all the kids at church when they saw Ghoolie as an altar boy? "Hey, isn't he the older kid that's always taking everyone's lunch money?"    "Yeah, when he's not telling everyone there's no Santa Claus."

Let us know when he reaches 34 felonies.  Until then, can he catch the ball and not drop it?   Because we had receiver drops in practice today.

No, but he can have his caddy drop it in the right place and win.??

yeah, sign players who might get suspended and never play a down. You know, like that linebacker they drafted in the fourth round years ago.

But he was good in college, right? If players can't stay on the field because of off the field problems, what good are they?

Well lets tag this response and see where those two players are 4 years from now.

Bond, like Judkins will not be charged.  Yet with Bond he is a thug....

These kids are getting themselves into these situations is not a good look.. At least whoever is handling these kids should at least educate them so they don't find themselves in these situations.. Or these kids are simply too stupid to realize it costs them money and playing time..

I mean look at Johnny Manziel and Todd Marijuanovic and Ricky Williams and a host of others fucked themselves out of the league..

And Berry seems all too happy to bring them here.. This team has enough bad juju with Happy Endings on the team..

As much as Berry can frustrate me at times, when stuff like DEI gets brought up in here - you're gonna piss people off whether you intend to do it or not.  The only heated argument we ever had in all the years we've followed this team together on the same message board began with me busting your balls in response to a political comment.  Then it escalated.  On the other forum that welcomes hatred aimed at the alleged "enemy within" - think about 1 thing.  If they knew you were black or hispanic, would you be important?  For example, if you changed your screen name to your last name - wanna bet Gorka would be the 1st knucklehead to say "I thought you were Italian."  Politics in this country today is nothing but hatred & convenient truths only. It all gets spearheaded/doctored up by media that wants to keep all faithful consumers needing conspiracy theories and/fractions of the truth.  Take a look at what gets multi-posted by the same guy every day over there on the poli board.  Most of it is aimed at recruiting hatred, which shows up every time 1 or 2 differences of their popular opinion gets challenged.  The 1 guy that used to tattle and cry in here that everybody is ganging up on him and being belligerent is doing just that to the 1 or 2 people challenging his opinion.  Imagine that! When he comes on this board with "aw shucks this is only my opinion but the HC doesn't know what he's doing."  Any HC that leads this franchise to two 11-5 records in his 1st 3 seasons has the ingredients to cook up something good that all people without broken football sniffers can enjoy.

Long story short, the Browns at least represent something we can all have in common that frees us from thinking how popular it is to hate people in this country.  During slow periods of the year, there's been some regulars/die-hards that stay the course contributing goodies to the daily mix.  That said, 3 guys that have gone above and beyond during the slow months to carry this place are @dutch-oven & @syd & @mjp28.  Those guys spent a lot of time featuring players that wore the jersey # of the number of days left before the regular season. Us older guys love that.  Dutch also does up the questions for us to answer before the opener and compiles our predictions so he can roast us with well-deserved smartass over what we got wrong... When he gets on someone's ass about racial or political comments in here -  I appreciate it (hoping many others do as well).  We ain't gonna bring people together without it. There's some guys in here that frequent the poli board that make nice contributions to our discussions.
