Did Haslam Forget To Bribe Somebody?

How the hell could the architects not have been aware of all this when submitting building plans? Very major blunder!!!!
Haslam Sports Group is understandably not happy about the denial, saying it is “flatly at odds with the FAA’s careful analyses and determinations resulting from well over a year of in-depth work, that found our proposed stadium poses no airspace hazards,” according to NeoTrans.
---------
No wonder the field was/is to be so far below ground level. The structure had to be short. (or, not too tall)
-
This is a whole lot about nothing.
Billionaires can do anything they want now. Not only will the dome get built right where they want, the Haslams could have 10 year olds working double shifts build it.

Well.. Someone dropped the ball somewhere...

Probably a political deal. Either ODT is butt chapped they weren't included in the decision making process or there are a few Clevelanders high up with ODT who are butt chapped that the Browns don't feel that Cleveland is the "Best Location in the Nation" to build a new domed stadium.
It will get worked out.
Cleveland better watch out. Haslam can move the team only if he offer first dibs to a Cleveland group. All he has to do is offer it up to a local group with a price tag of $40 billion. Fair market value doesn't apply to what he might want in a sale. It only applies to what a bank might offer in loan. If he can find a buyer for his price, it's sold. If not, he can head off to Oklahoma City if that is what he wants to do.

They've managed to lose 2 football teams so far.
I'm more mature to handle a move at 43 than I was 14. Two, though I consider myself a die-hard, I'm not as emotionally attached to the Browns 2.0 as I was the Browns teams of my youth.
I don't believe the team will be moved. If they did, I'd not follow and would probably cut my viewership to Sunday nights, Thanksgiving Day and the playoffs. I find the college game more intriguing.
There's a back and forth bicker in another thread about the growth of the NFL. The NFL is starting to feel alot like NASCAR in the 90s. I don’t think NFL growth has peaked, but I think it has peaked in the United States.
I believe the straw that will break the camel's back will be the shift to streaming/pay-per-view. I imagine the international fans have always had to pay above and beyond to view so they are more trained to pay to view.
Anyway, my two cents. Please clear the way, I'm stepping down from my soapbox.
PS - Bring back Tuesday and Wednesday #MACtion!

I agree with your NASCAR comparison. The base in this country is about as big as it can get. It's already about as saturated as it can become, thus why we see a big push towards international exposure. That is the only way they can gain a larger audience. That assumes the NFL can maintain it's current levels domestically. Nothing says as we start to die off our offspring will maintain the same interest. Soccer has already made a big push in to this market over the last 30 or more years. It's a very simple game to play. Not from a skill perspective. I am talking about not needing a lot of specialized equipment to start playing the game, which builds interest. All you need is a field of some sort, a ball and a few orange cones to set some boundaries and goals.

Agreed! I could be wrong here; but I think fantasy football and flag football recruits a lot more interest from younger females today. Some of the networks that have the fantasy football shows - have some female analysts that really know their stuff. My guess is some of this will compensate for a good portion of guys getting sick of the same ole same ole following various franchises.

That’s ridiculous. Any sports show that has a woman on it is DEI and it’s woke and it definitely doesn’t make me feel inferior in any way! And if you disagree you are a woke libtard plus a whole bunch of names I’d never have the balls to say to your face because I’m a 5’0 tall hobbit looking miserable twat. WOKE I say! ?

I always take woke as a compliment since I'm aware of the zoombielike status of the cult that stays deeply asleep. So are they really the deep state?

Woke or not... Anytime Beth Mowens calls a game... The sound immediately goes on mute,, She is like the Jessica Tarlov of female broadcasters.. I would rather listen to Aditi K or Michelle Tafoya.... Mowens just grates and over exaggerates... They should assign Mowens to the WNBA
