  • Dick Ambrose with a pick 6?

Agreed...good therapy help me to forget DW.  Excitement is building.  I swear every year I am done and I get sucked back in lol.

  • Looks like we have some tough decisions along the Dline and last spot at WR

  • DTR looking like DTR

  • Any catch the interview by Gabriel just now.  “There is entertainers then there is competitors”

    QB competition heating up

    It's an incurable disease lol

  • Also, I like what I'm seeing from Wypler at Center.  Zinter and Jenkins looked good at the Guards. The OL looked good together.

With so many oline starters on their last year of their contracts, definitely need the kids to step up

  • What happened on the fail conversion after the first td?

  • You guys think Lavardain makes the final 53?

You bet. And I see a lot of time on the field besides STs.

Amazing this time two years ago we thought we had the steal of the draft- he looked awful.

one thing I saw from Gabriel that I really liked was staying in a clean pocket. He really stood in there on a few plays and made good throws as a result

also, that pick six is maybe 30% on DG. That TE went totally brain dead for some reason, but also should have thrown that away.

  • Gabriel looked okay... He did some things he can build on... But it's clear Sanders is the better QB at this point... Id still roll with Flacco until we can't.. That first pick I can't fault Gabriel entirely... The tight end short armed the ball... Tyler Huntley?... Why is he even here?... Lifelong back up...

  • Marshell from App state for the last 2 weeks has been making plays. I like him better than strong and ford

I thought Dillion looked really solid, no pre snap penalties everyone was lined up where they were supposed to be and he moved the offense down the field, as far as that pick it was stupid as hell ( call it a learning experience) he should have thrown the ball away, Snoop ? wtf dude ? we needed another arm both pickett and dillion had hammy's

  • loved how coach preached about turnovers, I think we were minus 22 last year

    Bad snap.

Gabriel did really well.  Until he didn't.  He didn't get the ball handed off to the RB.  ( also, Strong wasn't watching for it )    The INT,  he threw it at 2 of our guys...and neither one of 'em had the wherewithal to make a play for it.  The TE looked totally confused.  He knew that the 2 receivers weren't supposed to be next to each other...so he may not have been at fault.....but he was at fault for taking his eye off the QB.  He had to know by then that Gabriel was looking for somebody  to throw it to.

I'll say this, Gabriel does get the ball out on time...when it's there.  So, he did well for his 1st live action of the year.  The fumble has to be on him (mostly, but Strong could've saved the play by making sure he get's the dang thing)....and he probably shouldn't have thrown the ball that was picked.  He's got stuff to learn from.

RB Marshall didn't do badly.   Strong had a nice long run through a wide hole.

Kevin Davis #89 had a good game.  #84 Lavardian had a good game.  Thrash had a good game.  Tillman had a catch or two.

#22 got away with pass interference at the end of the game.  That was a bad no call.  He got up and looked straight at the official like, You're not calling me for that?  🙂

The D did a nice job.

I think it was quite a positive week for the Browns against the super bowl champs.  They supposedly did well against them in practice.  Coming off of a 3-14 season they've got nothing to have a big head about.....but, they can take some pride with them into next week, the final push to get ready for the regular season.  And for many, a final week to show that you're good enough to be on the 53.

  • yep, I thought Gabriel did a real nice job, some really great throws, a lot of zip and really accurate - the placement was perfect. The int - the defender was hiding between the two on the diagonal throw... (yes, not supposed to be at the same place), and jumped on it. I don't fault Gabriel much - didn't see the defender.

The rb's looked pretty tough, ran hard.  The defense - the run defense is going to be excellent, I think. But it's preseason.

I'm fine with Huntley and twatson not making the final roster. That leaves Flacco, Pickett, Sanders and Gabriel.

Gabriel took a sack, but the blocking was horrendous on that side.

The Eagles were a lot tougher test - look at what they did last season. The Panthers were no match.

But it's preseason, whatever. Can't wait to watch the defense, with Graham and Garrett playing.

Nah, all my Aggie friends buying into the yearly August hype that we'll be in the playoffs is actually a hope killing cancer by the end of Sept when they're already out.

  • I had to work today and missed all but Gabriel's last drive. Looked like he could've gotten a lot of (or even just a little) help from the tight end on the pick 6. I didn't really think Gabriel was an NFL talent, but he did look decent climbing the pocket.

Ball placement/accuracy was impressive.  He threw a 10 yard out across the field just past a defender and over a tall defensive end.  The kind of throw that scouts said he could struggle with.  I didn’t see any throws downfield but I was impressed by Gabriel taking what the defense gave him and being quick and decisive.  It was a very good start
