On the app I use, the point total is also at 47 which I plan to parlay on the over. Could easily see this game getting close to 30 points each side. Even with Hendrickson back the Bengals overall defense appears bottom 3rd, and even if the Browns put up a great effort points are likely to be scored. I saw an interesting tidbit that in 2023 over the 6 games Joe started the total points per game averaged to almost 54. Obviously that was a different team and time, but the core of what Flacco was doing is still there.

I do think the Browns have a shot this week if Flacco doesn't give throw too many INT's. Football is back!

Good summary. I really think the Browns take it to the BenGals

BenGals actually do have a good RB ( Brown). Stop him, and as crazy as it sounds, force Cincy to throw.

Irony there Bob?  His first name even tells opponents what to do.  Let's hyphenate that last name to Chase Brown-Down.

Lol....little known fact, I've only drafted one hyphenated player in fantasy football: Donovan Peoples-Jones.

The day I sat him he returned a punt for a TD.

    No more hyphens for me!!!

Okay, we'll forget the hyphens.  Whatever happened to that guy after he left the Browns?

Yeah, he disappeared it seems. I thought they traded him to the Lions. He's on the Saints now.

I always thought he was solid. Maybe the lack of separation at the LOS hurts him. Baker loved him.

DPJ?   He was one of those guys that really shined in camp yet when the season started he was more like a CB's dream receiver.  Good for a couple of catches a game.  He was cut during final cuts this season.  As said, he's on the Saints now...but he has no 2024 stats.

His best two consecutive seasons were in Cleveland.

I'd say his performance spiraled out of control rather quickly.

He had a really good connection with Flacco. I wouldn’t have been upset if the Browns would’ve taken a flier in him considering the overall shape of the WR unit, but it’s a moo point at this point. A cow’s opinion.

I will always be thankful to him for taking Josh Gordon's name off of our single game receiving yardage record.

He was the only Browns receiver to post back to back 1,000 yard seasons too.

I just dissected the 2022 trade with Dallas to get Cooper. We gave up a 5th and we swapped 6ths.

The result ended up being we got Cooper and WR Michael Woods II, and they got OT Matt Waletzko and LB Devin Harper.

All 3 of those drafted guys just got waived with injury designations about a month ago from their respective teams. Woods by the Browns, Waletzko by Dallas, and Harper had made his way to Pittsburgh.

So everyone involved in that trade is out of football right now.

He was always injured.  At some point you've gotta part ways.

So when do we finally give up on Hospital Ward, obviously the most talented of all?

Well, Woods wasn't available at all, ever.  Ward gets injured every year but is back in the lineup, usually missing about 4 games.  And, of course, they're on opposite ends of the production / talent spectrum as well as opposite ends of the draft board.

I always thought it was stupid to have him tackle (looking at you greg williams) he is a shut down that side of the field type of player, why ask more ?

Tackling is sort of in the job description for all defensive players.

  • I almost forgot l did this…

Where to watch the game this Sunday? Well, not a lotta places. Fox has 6 games to juggle and it stands to reason not a lotta people care about the “battle of Ohio” outside of Ohio.

So everyone in Ohio gets the Browns game on their home tvs, except once again my forsaken homies in Van Wert, where my love of Browns football was spawned and it upsets me greatly. l hope my grandpa continues to roll over in his grave enough times that it create a seismic shift big enough that they get thrust in to the rest of Ohio’s broadcast signal.

The Mason-Dixon line is radiating Browns football this weekend, so all the pretty river towns in Indiana get the game. Madison! Vevay! Aurora!

West West Virginia gets the game as well, and so does much of KY.

A tiny bit of southeast Illinois gets the game, which includes the town of Fairfield, IL. Back in the day Fairfield was known as a producer of castor oil. That’s the old timey shit that would make you shit.

Thanks for adding the link for other NFL games so I know I get to see 3 of my FFL team members in LARams (QB and 2 WR's) , Buff's Josh Allen and Derrick Henry from Baltimore play. That always makes the games more fun to watch what they do or fail to do.
