I think you’re discounting how thin skinned “they” are too, although you seem to recognize it. Since it’s all about sides now. The whole country’s gone soft. Words are now just too damn inflammatory, and that’s a problem.
Sure, right wingers get compared to nazis. Left wingers get compared to commies. At the end of the day it’s people that are too wrapped up in this shit saying these things. You might be one of them.
My opinion is you all need to toughen up. Words should be nothing more than water off a duck’s back to us. We’re Americans yeah? We at least want to be resilient and unflappable. Let’s actually start being resilient and unflappable.
