I disagree, the Vikings only had one TO left. If Kevin would’ve saved the TO’s the pressure would be on the Vikings.

Instead, he just snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

They were already near the 20 yard line at worst they're attempting what is an extra point to send the game to overtime. If he started calling them at the 50 yard line I would agree with you but they were already in "chip shot" fg range when he started using them and there was 70 seconds left when he started calling them.

Agree Vilma seemed to think with a minute left and 20 yards to go the Vikings needed timeouts.

And then we heard Vilma say at least five times we messed up by not running it a third time because we didn’t run three straight times in a 10 man box which we did the last two drives

Obviously not great but it doesn't make it the wrong decision. Let's say on 3rd and 4 from the 17 with 59 seconds left the browns get the stop and force a fg. If Minnesota makes it the browns then have 50 seconds left to get in fg range and it looks like a great decision and then you're praising the timeout usage. If the Vikings didn't have a timeout themselves I would agree the browns shouldn't have called timeouts but the fact is that they had one. I have the same viewpoint regardless of the outcome the timeouts were the right call.  He was playing for the win in regulation which I always want my team/coach to do.

I have no problem with burning timeouts, you just don’t start using them with a minute left in the game.

You don't burn them early in the possession because you don't know if they'd get in range. You start burning them when time is no longer a limiting factor on them tying or taking the lead. If we were up 4 I'd bet he wouldn't have spent a single timeout. However since they had the game essentially tied at a minimum you start trying to conserve time for your offense.

Again, burning timeouts with little time left to play is….stupid.

Yeah vilma was atrocious and a very hard listen. Once they got to our 20 yard line with a minute left time remaining no longer became the limiting factor for them scoring. I'm disappointed but like some of the positives we're seeing. I really wanted this one because we have some very winnable games coming up.

Also I really hope Gabriel (or Sanders) is the answer at qb because there certainly doesn't look to be a can't miss qb in this college season as of yet and arch looks like he would be lucky to be a 5th round pick.

If on that 3rd and 4 the browns defense held and they kicked a fg then the browns offense went down and kicked a game winning fg because they had time left due to the timeout usage would you say it's still stupid? If not you're not judging the decision you're judging the result.

  • Disappointing loss, our offense and ST just aren't good enough to win games consistently. Dillon was solid but we're not going to win games because of him.

  • Wow this offense is offensive...5 games can't score over 20.  Shitpanski is terrible...receivers have stone hands...studkins  was a bright spot.

There would still be very little time left, timeouts or not.

The results of the game confirms what I said about Kevin’s clock management.

Looks like we'll see Shedeur play this season if we can't break the 17 pt barrier in the next few games.

  • As far as I'm concerned... Shitmypanstki lost this game all by himself.. He couldn't resist the opportunity to shove his own head up his own ass and run the ball up the middle instead of using short passes to the backs to keep the clock moving with just 4 and a 1/2 minutes remainingg.. He could've utilized Sampson and Judkins athleticism... Instead.. He went Marty ball conservative.. Then.. instead taking the ten seconds off... He chose to let them stop the clock and gave Minnesota the game... I hope they fire this dumb cocksucker tomorrow...

There would have been 50 seconds left. Plenty of time to get in field goal range.

I’m not talking hypothetically, Kevin stopped the clock 3 times with less than a minute left.

Let me ask you a question, is it easier for an offense to have a timeout between plays?

Kevin is totally inept... I'm sick of this dumb cocksucker...

I think you forget coaches like Pettine or Hue when you use a phrase like "totally inept".

You devalue the impact of that accusation by using it every time the Browns lose.

This idiot has a top tier defense and still finds ways to lose..

Most cosches with a bottom 5 offense would lose games when pairing it with a top 5 defense.

The imbalance is just too great.  The Tribe are a great example. They've been bullpen heavy since Tito. They'd have more playoff runs with even average run support.

     Same same here.

Sometimes it is easier on the offense to have more time sometimes it is more advantageous to have less time. Hence why no huddle offenses seem to have success. I don't know if you're an Ohio state fan but fans are often clamoring for them to go more up tempo because the success they have when doing so.

Sharp football quit tracking it in 2021 unfortunately but in that season Minnesota had a higher percentage of successful plays when running no huddle vs huddling. My whole point is that it's not black and white.  Again I'm not judging the result (which obviously is a negative) I'm judging the decision.

  • OK, I don't usually have negative to say about Stef's game management...but I wouldn't have been using the time outs towards the end of the game.  And just before the TO barrage I didn't like the idea of running Judkins up the gut twice in a row.  I would've tried to win the game while possessing the ball.

I understand what he was trying to do.  He was trying to get a win with his rookie QB without letting said QB blow things at the end.  He played not to lose, and put the game into the hands of his D.  But his D didn't get any rest...and the rest is history.

Really good game by Judkins.  That effin' guy works hard for his yards.  Congrats on his 1st 100 game in the NFL.

    Gabriel didn't do badly...but he's still a smurf.

I had hooped that our DL would destroy the Vikings very injured OL.  We needed more destruction.

Next week's game against the Steelers is quite important.  The division title is within reach if we can get our shit together and beat them.

  • Again no problem with the timeouts if we would held them to a field goal (most thought we would) we could have had time to win the game instead of getting the ball with very little time.   I’d argue the time was more important than the timeouts.

But I hate trying to run into 9/10 man boxes in a four minute offense to try to kill the other teams timeouts.  Getting a first down and possessing the ball is more important than the opposing team having  3 minutes left and no timeouts.  Some coaches do it and some don’t.

I thought the Vikings called an amazing game offensively. Carson Wentz played out of his mind.

I expected Myles and Co to win a lot of battles today though.

Our WRs didn’t win many battles either
