    "Sundown, you'd better take care"....

  • This is embarrassing. ?

Someone needs to take the laptop away from the Sundown Kid before he starts posting post game victory write ups of Baker at Texas Tech.

  • The “winless Jets” part stood out. They literally got their 1st win in dramatic fashion against the Bengals yesterday.

  • and then there is the classic

"we hate Baker, he sucks, he's too short".

    Baker is 6'1".

    Gabriel is 5'11".

    Baker haters don't care.

    so, there ya go.

Baker is less than 6'1" unless he has magically grown since he was measured at the senior bowl and the combine.

Browns fans across the board (including this board) have flagged Gabriel's height as an issue.  So let's not pretend there has been some double standard applied.

tia suggested a week or two ago that cal might have Sundowners, which of course caused me to post the Gordon Lightfoot song and of course start to call cal "The Sundown Kid". ?

  • Guys, I'm a Bucs/Browns fan living 50 miles south of Tampa. I saw Jim Brown play in person..

I am glad the Bucs have Baker. Is he the second coming of Brady? Nope, but he damn sure isn't the second coming of Dilfer either..

The Bucs have won the NFCS 4 yrs in a row. 2 with Baker at the helm..

    I'll take it...

    Having said that .

Now, dear Lord, please let me see my Browns win a Lombardy in my lifetime please..

    Amen

While I would certainly love to see the Browns winning the AFCN 4 years in a row, winning a division with records of 9-7 and 8-9 are not exactly things to write home about.  The NFCS has been a pretty bad division where winning it is a very low bar to clear.

No doubt Baker is a guy who can start for an NFL team, and do so for many years.

    Let's be realistic

The Browns would not have won the NFCS anytime in the recent past.

    The Bucs possess two Lombardi's

    Our Brown's have zero.. ?

    That's reality............

Fairly certain the 2022 and 2023 Browns teams could have.  Low bar to clear when 9-8 and 8-9 is good enough to win a division

  • Bucs offense struggling big,

    https://www.espn.com/nfl/recap/_/gameId/401772869

Anthony Nelson and the Buccaneers' defense shine in a 23-3 victory over the struggling Saints

Mayfield passed for 152 yards and the Bucs converted just three of 13 third downs to go with a failed fourth-and-goal from the 1.

“Wins are great. They are very hard to come by in this league,” Mayfield said. “But we have to be better on offense.”
