I actually do not know. I would think there are certain consistencies with other law enforcements agencies, like protocols and using body cams and such. I’m sure it’s a pain in the ass for law enforcement to deal with such things, but in the day and age of social media and cameras everywhere, it would sure as hell shore up any ambiguity. The guy was right there at the driver side window. Is there any better vantage point to see what went down?

Agree on transparency.
They do wear cameras, but not everywhere as of yet.
Updated ICE BWC Policy (Directive 19010.3)
Issued in February 2025, the current directive establishes the following requirements:
Mandatory Activation: Agents must activate cameras at the start of most enforcement activities (e.g., at-large arrests, search warrants, removals) and keep them on until the activity concludes.
Accountability: If an agent fails to activate their camera or if recording is interrupted, they must provide a written explanation.
Limited Scope: The policy currently applies only to personnel in "Areas of Responsibility" where cameras have been officially implemented. It does not yet apply agency-wide due to a lack of federal funding.
Prohibited Uses: Recording is prohibited for the sole purpose of documenting First Amendment-protected activities, or within healthcare facilities and courtroom proceedings.
Status for Minneapolis Agents
There is currently no confirmed date for when Minneapolis-based agents will be issued body cameras.
