  • Was it DEI when Mac Jones was made pro bowl alternate?

I guess this would imply Huntley was a DEI.

    What this tells you is

    a) pro bowl is essentially meaningless award

    b) the vast majority of people dont know how alternate works at this point.  Lawrence was already an alternate, so this means he declined

Did we hire a new GM that understands this finally?

I didn't think of that, Lawrence declining. But the pro bowl is worse than a farce, now.

Yeah, that was a joke too.   Wasn't that the last actual tackle football game of the pro bowl.

Look, I actually like Sanders...but I don't think that he should've been named to the pro bowl.  So whatever the mechanism is that got Sanders the pro bowl title to his name ( whomever wants to go to the pro bowl step forward.  And everyone but Sanders takes a step back ) should be trashed....like the whole pro bowl event thingy itself.  Just announce the All Pro selections.  And then the respective pro bowl squads, AFC & NFC, and that's it.  If ya want, the All Pro's get and All Pro ring...and the rest get a Pro Bowl ring.  -  My 2 cents.

  • Always have been a fan of Emory Hunt

  • Kiper stopped by ESPN Cleveland to further defend Sanders once again.

He believes Sanders showed everything you’d want in a franchise QB in his rookie year and warned fans not to listen to the doubters.

“The way he competed? The arm strength? In those weather conditions? [Shedeur Sanders] didn’t have an issue there. In terms of mobility and athleticism, he showed that. To me, I don’t know what else you could want. Is he the quarterback of the future? I think he is, the doubters and the haters will be out there saying he’s not,” Kiper said.

If he became an above average starting QB, it would help offset the damage caused by the Watson trade. He'll be very cheap the next three seasons.

But I have a feeling the Browns aren't going to stand pat and just go with Sanders or Watson this season. At the least, they will try and fail to bring in someone to start over them.

    unfortunately you are correct

  • I think Kiper is full of bs sometimes.

I don't dislike Sanders, but watching him a lot in college, and with the Browns....

some things are a concern - his decision making is slow, pocket awareness just doesn't seem up to par all too often, ....I think he may be more of a backup qb.

  • The Browns definitely have to draft a qb somewhere in their draft this year.
