It sounds as though htownbrown is thinking along these lines.

A very interesting scenario this Brit presents…the ultimate aim of self sufficiency over being the worlds police.

    I approve of his message.

Thank you, that was helpful. I have no doubt Trump is a big picture thinker and I’ve given kudos before in that regard. His methodology wigs me out at times, and probably a lot of other people. TDS is a thing for a reason. Wanting peace, calm and prosperity isn’t a bad thing.

I like the UK. I like Europe in general, and l like the idea of allies. I can’t help but hope there’s a place for them in whatever new world order we’re cooking up.

All trolling aside… it’s been about 47 years under The current regime in Iran.

idealogically speaking it seriously might take a nuke to destroy that civilization that knows only death to America.

No, Pecker swears up and down that he’s not a Democrat.

Yet, all he does is bash Trump…which is all Libtards do these days. ?

Neither one of us is trolling. Your math is probably right.

Think about what you’re talking about man. Last resort shit. You’re supposed to be a Christian and you’re wanting to Nuke people?

We’re going to tussle dude. Nation of Islam isn’t located only Iran if that’s your concern. Nuking Iran is only going to intensify the nation of Islam.

I'm going to say this again, if we walked away tonight and just destroyed the infrastructure we built (Kharg) I would be more than satisfied.  I don't care who needs it, we can't be undermined by it.  Unless Iran wants to send it's Unleaded Generation to the negotiation table.

I think over the next couple of decades it's become quite obvious the world's demographics are going to age out.  Production will slow, as will consumption, and poverty will set in.  There is no economic policy correction for this and even if there was only certain economies could make it work.  Regimes like Iran will be the first to stall out and nothing America will do to them now will compare to what is going to be their fate, especially with the government they have in power now.  Unfortunately, it will be self inflicted and it will be brutal.

We are self sufficient here on the essentials and we will even feel it.  Iran's allies (China, Russia, and now we know for sure Europe) won't be far behind them because these are the countries with the worst demographic issues and lowest domestic consumption.  You're already noticing it you just don't recognize it yet.  If you don't see the controlled collapse the US, Russia, and China are trying to plan for regionally and the collapse they're trying to do to each other, I don't know what to say to you.

Just know, outside of nuclear annihilation, there will be no one capable of rebuilding any global economic system again except for us.  There will be no allies with deep pockets to send aid and there will be very little relief.  Iran is fucked now or later because we have all the oil we need under our feet.  You can start whatever movement you want, but the elites holding the bag (the real tax base) want nothing to do with them.

I dig your next level thinking, but l don’t like the idea of mucking up the works for the rest of the world.

I’m not a fan of us being the world police either, but we played a big part in putting ourselves in that position and we have to accept that. Look at us now. It’s ugly af.

I definitely don't have that kind of brain power.  I think Vapor has a similar outward looking approach and he may get some details right that I would not.  There are a lot of things that happen, especially economically, that are beyond our control, but very predictable.  Like:

    download(2).png.ea5328b3ab8d59a73e61684e77fbf8bf.png

Where is the consumption coming from in 20 years?  Where is your labor force?  Where are your reproduction aged women?  If I account for immigration, how many of these people are even German?

Unless these people want to eat 6 meals a day, the restaurant industry will downsize.  Unless these people want to drive to the same place 2x a day, the auto industry will tighten, the petrol demand will lessen, the insurance markets will shrink, the toll booths will see less traffic, yada yada yada.  This will hit every market they have. If you had money to invest why would it be here?

The closest thing to relate it to here is when auto manufactoring was pulled from the midwest and sent overseas.  That was a choice, this isn't a choice.  Germany is probably the most extreme sample of this demographic in Europe, but everybody else is not far behind.

    download(3).png.ce32166da97cab3f08b100e14830768c.png

Even if all of Europe paid 5% for defense, the actual dollar value of that 5% will continue to go down.  We will only pay more the longer this goes on.

Now look at the world's factory China:

There is no way to adjust for this.  All you can do is start the transition now.  Trump is kicking the legs out from China with every move he makes, for better or worse.  We were always going to need to diversify manufacturing soon.  In 20 years, China will lose 400-500 million people.

In an environment like this, places like Iran stands no chance.  Their demographics don't  even matter.  They can't grow food, there short on water, and the world won't be nearly as needy for oil.  It's going to be brutal and they don't even give anyone a reason to care.

  • Catching up here.

    • Impressive rescue of the F-15 crew without any casualties again demonstrates that US military capability is king when it comes to tactical engagements
    • This gave Trump a much needed win and some political capital to begin disengagement from this quagmire
    • (The failing) NYT is reporting that a bunch of Trump's cabinet threw Israel's intel to pull us into the war as bogus. Rubio allegedly says it was "farcical." Hope it's true, but it's from an unnamed source.
    • Pakistan mediated a ceasefire between the US and Iran, causing anger in Israel, as they were apparently not involved in these talks.
    • Israel responds by bombing downtown Beirut, Lebanon.
    • Iran responds by launching missiles at Gulf allies and closing the strait back down.
    • Israel opens back up the corruption trial of Netanyahu that got paused after Oct 7 attacks
    • Oil prices dipped at the initial ceasefire news, but have jumped back up.

    And here we are.

I actually didn’t know that China’s population was declining too. Interesting. I know they’ve been rocking the “1 kid per couple” thing for a while and they are going to have a generation or 2 that has no aunts, uncles or siblings, but they had SO many people at one point.

So here’s a question. I actually suspect there was a method to the madness with the whole Biden era open border thing. I think it was a manufactured population boost, and Biden as the geriatric politician was the perfect fall guy to make it happen.

Sure, we’ll get some riff raff in the process, plenty of that documented in these pages, but we’ll get workers and consumers in the process as well.

What do you think of that theory?

I assume for GDP and military purposes, and possibly diamonds in the rough.

In the long run less people might be for the best, but we’re not past the inter-world conflict stage of things yet, obviously.

The goal should be to end up like a Star Trek planet. I don’t actually like Star Trek, but if a world is going to build starships there’s going to have to be a certain understanding among the various populations of that world to make that happen.

We could just nuke each other and start over again, but Star Trek planet sounds more appealing imo.

It's 100% the real X-factor.  Will AI be able to find a natural balance with a declining population or does the declining population have resources to keep development going?  Do the millennials or gen z even have the willingness to spread their seed?  I mean that worldwide.

Yes significant, influential, unrelenting and driven toward his goals… unlike any president in my lifetime and I’m probably much older than you. His ambitions for this country are off the charts. Acquiring Greenland?

That’s all because he’s a  businessman first, and a politician second.  Remember he was a career businessman not a career politician.
I recall years prior to Trump people being fed up with career politicians clamoring to have someone such as a business minded person become president. Now that we finally got one…..well you know the rest of the story.

I too am not a big fan of his personality, or the things he says. I don’t even like listening to him.  Makes me cringe.

But unlike the TDS afflicted left, and  by being an adult, I am able to set all that apart and appreciate what he has accomplished and what he is trying to accomplish.

I didn’t vote for a holy man, or for someone who I know will “act presidential”.  Acting presidential never accomplished anything .

Whether this conflict with Iran turns out to be his big mistake remains to be seen. My fear is that he have gotten us into something we can’t come out of.

I recall years prior to Trump people being fed up with career politicians clamoring to have someone like a business minded person become president. Now that we finally got one…..you know the rest of the story.

Whether this conflict with Iran turns out to be a big mistake remains to be seen. He may have gotten us into something we can’t come out of.

I hit the half century mark fairly recently, l’m no spring chicken. But l do have spring chickens. Look at my chickens!

I think there’s something to be said about “acting Presidential.” It resonates around the globe and makes us real attractive.

I remember Ross Perot. He was a businessman who threw his hat into the political arena and made some waves. Apparently he passed in 2019.

Should we even bring up that these are International Waters ?
