I’m a little surprised you’re an outrage porn guy. Sure, there’s plenty of it out there. There’s gobs of it from the other side too. All you gotta do is click like/share and next thing you know you’re flooded with it. That’s how algorithms work.

It’ll lead you to think that’s how the world is.

That’s not how the world is man. In the realm of social media the most outrageous stuff gets the most action. If l dry humped a goat in a Sasquatch costume, that would get a lot of action on social media too. But all you’re seeing is the most extreme in human behavior and it has to be taken with a grain of salt.

What you’ll need to do is provide evidence that there is just as much political violence on the other side before you begin to rationalize, otherwise whatever you say is pointless.

What you’ll need to do is suck my left one.

I recently heard an interview with a fellow named John Lott with CPRC (Crime Prevention Research Center) and l thought of you. This particular interview dealt with the messiness involved with assigning “sides” to political violence. I think you’ll like his work.

I’m struggling to recall details, but one involved a shooting from a trans individual against some gay folks because this person thought the gay community wasn’t doing enough for trans people. Left on left violence?

Some can be tied to political leanings, others are no different than saying the killer liked Nike shoes, so anyone wearing Nike shoes is prone to violence. The problem in this forum is people on the left automatically assume political leanings have everything to do with violence if it's a conservative, but totally disregard anything that is actually tied to a left movement causing violence. The retards tend to file it under social justice and play some type of victim card. Go ahead and go through some of our posts on violence and see if you can weed out ones that actually aren't tied to being a lefty when we insinuated as much.

Trans people tend to group up over on the left side, and while over 90% of trans is a mental illness, how do you separate being mentally ill or listening to left rhetoric causing people to get violent? You can't just ignore all the left media and left politicians calling for violence and labeling Trump all kinds of names and a threat to democracy.

No, what you’ll need to do is provide evidence, quotes, from the right that supports your claim.

There is no messiness. I’ve provided clear cut undeniable proof of left wing violence and violence rhetoric.

    Now it’s your turn.

You’re struggling to recall the details? I have no doubt you are.

  • So we recently had a Trump supporter shot in the back and killed.

I know, I know, Biden supporters got shot in the back by those wacky conservatives too.

Are you word salading me or do you wanna suck my left one too?

I’m fully aware political violence is a thing. I’m not aware that shoes are involved.

The problem in this forum is that it’s become janky and you don’t really have anyone on the left to dispute anything other than Woody, and he’s likely become disenchanted.

From a larger standpoint we’re to the point that when a shooting happens, we immediately reach for that person’s race. And that’s not a Brownsboard subforum problem, it’s a national problem.

That’s fucked up. We’re getting hardwired to identify political violence and put it into a box so we can have conversations like this.

It didn’t used to be like this and it’s not normal. It’s a divisive factor and we should reject it.

ok, I actually read one of your posts. It was inane, not surprised.

this forum is just fine, it would be cool if we had some liberal oriented posters posting legitimate thoughts. But all we get is antagonistic, stupid ass allegations about every single subject brought up. Too bad.

Woodpecker isn't "disenchanted", woodpecker has problems when looking into a mirror, I guess, and antagonizes everybody else to compensate. Always has done the same thing. sick stuff, I think.

and the sickos who tried to assassinate Pres Trump? all white. Pres Trump is white. The sickos who tried to assassinate Pres Reagan, white. The sickos who assassinated JFK and Bobby Kennedy - white.

Two attempts on Pres Gerald Ford - both were white.

The shooter at that baseball game, Sen. Scalise was shot - the shooter was white.

The assassin who murdered Martin Luther King was white. That is one where you could bring racism into it.

so, NO, "we" don't immediately grab at the person's race.

So white people are the problem? That’s surprising coming from you. This thread is full of surprises.

Attempted Presidential assassinations are a rarity. Well, they used to be. I may have misspoke a bit. It’s not just race we immediately look at. Gender, creed and sexual orientation are in the mix too. Point is we’re hyper focused on assigning a “side” to blame.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that there’s not a lot of good news shared here. You participate in it. This entire forum is like a chain of metaphorical car crashes where everyone sees the worst of human behavior over and over and over again. And it’s not just this forum. This seems to be the new norm with political news.

We’ve created an environment where assigning blame and identifying enemies is “normal”, and it’s a daily exercise. There’s increased anger and divisiveness, and then we wonder why there’s so much political violence? We’re both old enough to know it didn’t used to be like this.

It’s beating the shit out of our collective psyche.

  • @ibleedbrown I've been posting on the poli board for over a decade. The conversations back then were much better. More leveled. More informed. As MAGA grew (formerly all tea party folks) the level of discord dropped. This drive away many posters, good posters, on both sides of the political spectrum. The board continued it's spiral into the echo chamber you see today.

Years and years ago I attempted to post full, sourced, intelligent posts constantly. I would respond to misinformed threads (climate skepticism, Obama "death panels", etc.) with fully sourced rebuttals. What was the met with more and more frequently? Nonsense. Memes. Tantrums of Google search links. Slurs. Etc.

Throw in the continued cognitive decline of many elderly posters on here and that problem amplifies.

Disenchanted may not be the best term, but 98% of posts on here are trash and absolutely not worth the time. This is a central hub for rage porn, MAGA twitter, right wing rag articles, and more. Ignorance on ignorance.

It's absolutely not worth the time to respond to posts like I used to. This is a fact based on years of responses here. This place is nothing more than showing up to mess with the monkeys in a cage.

It's a damn shame too how much it's fallen off. Just exists as a stain on Browns fans.

What are you trying to say here? One second you're talking about race and the next politics, which is it? There are all races on every side of the political spectrum. What we've done here is link lefty political violence to the lefts rhetoric, but keep dancing around that fact if you choose and you'll be just as disingenuous as woody.

You get proven wrong at every turn. Using the term rage porn is another attempt to silence the truth, It wasn't that long ago the democrats were getting in front of the camera to tell America to be aggressive, get in their face, they are fascist, they are trying to keep you from voting, they are supremacist, they are a threat to democracy, no kings, get out and protest and where does it say it has to be peaceful? Since when is merely stating the truth considered rage porn? Probably about the time the left realized they are being exposed.

You cry about things I paste here but it's not in my opinion, it's a fact so I post it so everyone can see for themselves, and you have no answer for it other than to cry about where it came from, always ignoring the facts.

You retards posted worse when Biden won and you thought you seen the last of Trump, then Trump came back and crushed the left with most electoral and popular votes.

Trump is securing the worlds energy future and all you can do is cry about nonsense.

Is all this left violence acceptable? The silence is deafening.
