@ibleedbrown I've been posting on the poli board for over a decade. The conversations back then were much better. More leveled. More informed. As MAGA grew (formerly all tea party folks) the level of discord dropped. This drive away many posters, good posters, on both sides of the political spectrum. The board continued it's spiral into the echo chamber you see today.
Years and years ago I attempted to post full, sourced, intelligent posts constantly. I would respond to misinformed threads (climate skepticism, Obama "death panels", etc.) with fully sourced rebuttals. What was the met with more and more frequently? Nonsense. Memes. Tantrums of Google search links. Slurs. Etc.
Throw in the continued cognitive decline of many elderly posters on here and that problem amplifies.
Disenchanted may not be the best term, but 98% of posts on here are trash and absolutely not worth the time. This is a central hub for rage porn, MAGA twitter, right wing rag articles, and more. Ignorance on ignorance.

Some can be tied to political leanings, others are no different than saying the killer liked Nike shoes, so anyone wearing Nike shoes is prone to violence. The problem in this forum is people on the left automatically assume political leanings have everything to do with violence if it's a conservative, but totally disregard anything that is actually tied to a left movement causing violence. The retards tend to file it under social justice and play some type of victim card. Go ahead and go through some of our posts on violence and see if you can weed out ones that actually aren't tied to being a lefty when we insinuated as much.
Trans people tend to group up over on the left side, and while over 90% of trans is a mental illness, how do you separate being mentally ill or listening to left rhetoric causing people to get violent?
