Illegals are absolutely contributing to the decline of the American working class via supply and demand. Minimizing this problem is a huge blind spot of the left. My landscaper was pissed because he hired a legal Mexican guy to help him get on his feet. This Mexican then opened up a competing business with a bunch of his illegal cousins. They offer to mow a lawn for $30 a pop, and the average American landscaper simply cannot compete with that. Americans are rightly pissed about them being here.
I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you there on the level of blame placed on illegal immigrants. Even in a world where their existence is causing the issue having the SS round up any vaguely Hispanic individual, throw them in a concentration camp, and then deport them without due process isn't solving the root cause of the issue. If you're bleeding into the floor cuz your leg is cut open wiping up on the blood on the floor doesn't solve the issue. Politicians, mostly lawyers, don't do shit to resolve root causes. Maybe because surface level blame games are better to rally the base. Maybe they just don't get it. I wouldn't blame illegals. I'd blame our immigration system, the business exploiting them, etc.
Even then, I'm placing the blame on those in power and policies leading to an ever growing wealth gap in this country. It isn't left vs right, it's top vs bottom. And honestly, there’s plenty of data out there that shows once immigrants take the steps to gain citizenship and the right to vote, they don’t always vote democrat.
That’s my theory. The motivating factor was just filling shoes.

The left has seen it happening, so ...they opened our borders and started doting on the illegals to the point of helping them get a free ride with gov services meant to help AMERICANS IN NEED. To the point of continually releasing them from jails/courtrooms back onto the street - all to curry favoritism from the illegals.
Illegals were their new voter demographic to win power and control of American taxpayers wealth. Thank GOD we all elected Pres Trump to FIX America back to being AMERICA.
The woodpecker doesn't worry about illegals' violent crime because the woodpecker, and most all? lefties live per their own feelings. They don't have any respect or love for anything or anyone else, because they don't respect or love themselves. So they sit back and bitch and ridicule, make asses of themselves, and they tend to overcompensate about every issue, every moral norm, they revere making themselves feel better about themselves, mostly by ridiculing everything else.
Patriotism, our military, Christian churches, morals, everything great about our America - they deride it to try to FEEL like they are superior somehow.

Illegals are absolutely contributing to the decline of the American working class via supply and demand. Minimizing this problem is a huge blind spot of the left. My landscaper was pissed because he hired a legal Mexican guy to help him get on his feet. This Mexican then opened up a competing business with a bunch of his illegal cousins. They offer to mow a lawn for $30 a pop, and the average American landscaper simply cannot compete with that. Americans are rightly pissed about them being here.
I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you there on the level of blame placed on illegal immigrants. Even in a world where their existence is causing the issue having the SS round up any vaguely Hispanic individual, throw them in a concentration camp, and then deport them without due process isn't solving the root cause of the issue. If you're bleeding into the floor cuz your leg is cut open wiping up on the blood on the floor doesn't solve the issue. Politicians, mostly lawyers, don't do shit to resolve root causes. Maybe because surface level blame games are better to rally the base. Maybe they just don't get it. I wouldn't blame illegals. I'd blame our immigration system, the business exploiting them, etc.
Even then, I'm placing the blame on those in power and policies leading to an ever growing wealth gap in this country. It isn't left vs right, it's top vs bottom. Democrat elites are responsible just like Republicans. Wedge issues exist to keep the masses distracted. Much easier to point at a "lower" class and tell people they're causing all of your problems. Blacks. Muslims. Immigrants. Trans people. Etc. Yes, the Dems have blame, but there's clearly more blame to the right at this point. Go on stage, say "transgender" a few times, whip them into a frenzy, and then give you and your rich friends tax cuts. I won't dig into the people falling for it, either being gullible, victims, idiots, or all of the above.
I'm not worried about illegals. I don't fall for the rage porn our MAGA friends consume. I'm more concerned about getting justice against the Epstein class and reworking the policies in this country leading to a widening wealth gap, increasingly unachievable financial goals for the youth, and a general sense of helplessness for younger generations.

We're in agreement that the people creating the problem are also to blame. Trump and his hotels shouldn't get a pass. Corporate farms shouldn't get a pass. Instead of letting the natural ebb and flow of supply and demand allow workers to get a bigger slice of the pie, the job creators have instead opted to maximize profits by promoting mass illegal (and legal) immigration that undercuts the American working class.
Blue collar work *will* pay more if you stop importing a bunch of low-wage immigrants. Just look at what happened to trucking after the unanimous SCOTUS decision in the last month to allow criminal penalties for the companies who hire negligent drivers. Suddenly, the insurance brokers wouldn't touch shady CDL farms for H1Bs and illegals. Spot rates for truckers became the highest they'd been in like 20-30 years.
Deporting every. single. illegal. and penalizing every employer who allows them to undercut Americans is how you rebuild the middle class and prevent a 1936 Germany situation from happening here.
