#4 looked as about what you would expect from a guy who has not played a down for a very long time, he looked confused a few times but over all should receive a decent grade for todays game, the fumble he lost I believe we had some back ups playing on the line, but still no excuse (hold on to the damn ball) special teams ? night and day from last year, penalties we had the one false start with the ones and the tripping penalty ? from what i saw just looked like a normal collision, on D evens look ed like crap while coates is making a statement for a roster spot

Sorry you guys don't get it. The more I think about this I am more of the opinion we don't have a very good coach. It's not about who is in or what the score was, it was about sending the right message to the players. I don't want a coach who quits on his players. I am not saying he should be fired or anything like that, but that was just chickenshit.

If you don't get it, that's your problem, not mine.

Nice return by KC and his Sunshine Band

PR - is a spot we really need to upgrade and KC is quite the upgrade over Larvadain. That said, I hope he can break more pinky tackles than his 0 for 1 is projecting. All kidding aside, if anyone doubts how fast he can get to the fear gear after watching yesterday - Flugel's can of frozen orange juice has a message for you: "CONCENTRATE"...

The following sentence is just me being a knuckleheaded fan with a lot of short term memory cells that were enjoying retirement and stupid juice out of a 40 ounce frosted mug that we have a new offensive minded HC. Understanding Carson Beck was the 1st pick of the 3rd Round at #65 overall - WHY didn't the Browns draft Carson Beck at #58 overall in Round 2? I know this comes from a knucklehead that has posted more than once how much I love the EM-W selection there; but right now the QB position here (almost 3 decades after getting the team back in 99) looks like a sail boat journey without any sails once they've removed the wind.

Yes, I understand we have TWO 1st round picks in 2027 just like I remember the Browns starting the 2025 Draft with the 2nd pick overall. If we can't ever draft the right QB - the type of offensive football we're looking at from this team ain't changing very much from year to year. 99 was 27 years ago. The Browns wasted the entire career of Joe Thomas without ever giving this team a QB that could fequently lead this team to the playoffs. In fact, the closest Thomas eve came to the playoffs was a 10-6 record his rookie year.

Well for 2027 just remember the name Terry Bussey, Jr if he decides to come out. Just as athletic, fast and very good hands of WR/PR/KR who can take a hit even better than KC. I think he will be a key player for the A&M offense this year because he can play every position out of the backfield or as WR. He''ll do that kind of end around play you saw from KC and is the replacement for KO and Punt returns.

Have a snickers man...You are panicking way too early. You can't base or value his ability to coach after one preseason game.. Yesterdays game was more about seeing who can do what in various situations... The Oline needs work.. The depth on defense is troublesome at this point. These Oline guys haven't played together before....give it some time..... It's gonna take a few games to gel. That's pretty much I thought this was going to go.... Our QB of the future may not be on the roster right now...

I am not panicking. I understand we don't have a QB and it is about evaluating at this point, but I include the coaching staff in that as well. I am interested in seing the team being able to punch it in from the short red zone. Evidently our head coach doesn't feel that way.

IMO, you're over reacting a bit. It was the end of the 1st preseason game, with backups to the backups to the backups playing on both sides of the ball. Essentially the end of a practice against another team (like they'll be experiencing this week against Buffalo). Monken had seen enough at that point. The score was meaningless. I guess he could've put his starters back in and had them work some 2 minute stuff, but that would've been kinda' weird. - That's my take, but we're all entitled to our own.

Agreed but some of his lingering bad habits prevented me from feeling any warm fuzzies about the game he had. The QB that had the best day of all the QBs in that game was Case Keenum using guys might not even make the Bears roster.

I understand much of what you are saying, but I still feel it was a poor decision. I don't think the players on the field were happy about not having a last chance to impress a coach which might help them to make the team. As a head coach you are the head coach to every player on the roster, not just the top 30 or so players. I hope by this point he knows he fucked up.
