I'm surprised it wasn't more controversial. My buddy and I were jumping up laughing thinking it went wide...

me 2. I thought we had gone for a draw but was surprised to see that it went in.

    Did it? 🤔

  • I find it pretty laughable that they DIDNT review it.

  • Probably a dumb question, but could the league review this and proclaim a tie? Or is it a "what's done is done" thing?

I too thought he missed it when I was watching live and was surprised when the refs raised their hands.

I think it's been to long to try to make the NFL over turn the call.

  • The best you will get from the NFL is "sorry".

  • Same here...big time cheering we tied then it was announced good...i proclaimed it looked no good then just assumed it was a bad angle on film...lol

  • My dad was the referee that signaled the field goal was 'good' ... I'm so ashamed that I'm moving to Tampa so people stop making fun of me.

I'm fine with the L. I'm not looking for wins this year specifically, I'm looking for improvement. Better for our draft position if the kick was good. Which it didn't appear to be.

    Same here.

Besides, let's save all of the wide-rights for this week in Buffalo.

  • Wow. The article suggests it might be the camera angle. Ugh, if you know anything about geometry, you can tell by the angles between the posts and the hash marks down the middle of the filed that the camera is dead in the middle of the two posts - so you're seeing the real thing and the FG kick is unquestionably wide.

I'm surprised that the fans in the end zone didn't revolt!

By the way, I always wondered why the NFL put two refs under the posts to determine if the FG is good. Have you ever been in that position watching someone kick FG's? It's one of the worst angles possible to make a call.

I agree that if they can use technology in tennis to ensure the ball is in, they can figure something out for the NFL, and one day, they will.

Who is going to watch while me and Russ carry the 100 lb grille?

Have fun. Leave the Hag behind.

Well, certainly not my dad ... he's obviously blind as a bat and would view you two as two hot chicks carrying a keg of beer.

Even 2 years later, Skippy still hasn't figured out how to help carry the grill?

It's probably for the best though...his drunk ass would drop the thing.

  • Call Congress! We need a full blown investigation! Give us our tie dammit, give us our tie! *shakes fist in anger*

  • TIE? What makes you think that we wouldn't have won it? Hailmary plays are DA's specialty.

  • just to clarify the nfl network videos that go with the story say field goals cant be challenged if they go over the top of the posts, hence no challenge from mangini/booth
