  • Thanks to Cmac as well.

I also came to find a middle ground to discuss with ONB and D&S.

But Lum at his worst wasn't simply tolerated, starting a few months back Stan actually starting supporting it.

Stan simply has sand in his you-know-what. He wanted a tough guy forum and reveled in watching Lum drum up the natives. Kitchen heat turns his way and blam..... I'm taking my ball and going home.

    Wow.

Well said. Especially the take my ball and go home line. I view it the exact same way.

  • I know it is not about DA or BQ. Sorry about that. I was really just saying that everything seemed to start with the BQ fag calling and the reality of it is too many people responded to it by DA fag calling and they that became just Name calling.

I have seen posts where lum has made good points without name calling, and those are the posts that he needs to make. And if somebody does name call we all just have to not respond to it.

I remember allot of posts that were going really well until they were hijacked by name calling. That is all I am really saying and I do agree with what Legacy said. That you can not use one of Lums good posts as a true representation of what he brings, but you could use it as an example of what he could bring to the board.

Again sorry about what I said, I was just thinking of where I started seeing all the name calling start. And I do remember Lum making some good posts but then he follows it up with 10 bad posts. He needs to stop the name calling and so does everybody else.

  • Turn out Lums was right, and his detractors, myself included, were wrong.

Going back and reading I can see the Administrator's point. Quite clearly, in fact.

I would like to offer an apology to Lumbergh.

  • I post on this board alot and I must have missed what everyone is so upset about, and where did the thanks button go?

they removes it because it was to easy to hit thanks to a post you didn't agree with rather than posting a reply. the only replies that were being posted were negative and they felt the board was way too negative for this treason.

It would only be a good point if that was even one of Lums first few posts and before he was ever a chode to people on this board. Neither is the case. It was an epic fail by Admin.

Don't be man - it's all good. I was just afraid this would devolve into another DA/BQ thread.

Pumpkin Eater, you should read the responses in this thread; that post is not representative of what Lumbergh regularly brought. That was one of the very few good ones.

For whatever reason, 'admin' has decided to turn this around and try to make the rest of us the bad guys when we simply reacted in kind. Lumbergh isn't the 'victim' here.

It's like the kid on the playground that people tolerate. However the kid wants attention so he calls names and makes a scenese, causing everyone to dislike him in the process.

Then the teachers come and whine about how we are mean.

But what point is there to drag negativity from one thread to another? Lums post was perfectly reasonable in that particular thread.

But as I said, why carry around hatred for a screen name on a message board? The original post was fine, but people attacked him anyway. I can see why he would be attacked if he had called everyone a BQ Fag along with the rest of his original post. But he didn't.

You'd have to read all of the posts going on at that time. That is a post in a vacuum (notice Lum even had a post in that thread deleted by a mod, then went at the mod in that same thread).

Lum wasn't trying to be reasonable even w/ that one, he was trying to get the reaction he got. When one constantly instigates, the masses aren't going to suddenly go "he's a troll and tool 90% of the time, but since he wasn't in his OP, we'll forget everything". Life and the world does not work that way.

But he did in his other gagillion posts prior to that one example.

  • But Lum bashing was also the popular thing to do at the time.

A lot of people (myself included) thought Lums would leave when BQ took over the job, but he didn't. He just might be a Browns fan after all.

  • When Browns fans will stand side by side with Steelers fans against a board member, that says more about the guy they are standing against than it does anything else.

And yet I see people having civil conversations with an ahole like Chicken SChoke, despite his record of anti-browns and anti-browns fan posting.

SChuck makes no bones about what he is.

I cannot say the same for everyone.

    That's the difference.

  • Plenty of people make plenty of points. When is admin gonna start sucking on our knobs for a change.

Utter fooking bullshit move by a shit stirrer.
