Many thanks to the dude! Dropping DA for nothing and maybe getting a 4th-5th rounder for Quinn. Sounds about right to me.

Well, one was a 6th round draft pick we grabbed off of the Ratbird's practice squad, and the other was a first rounder who cost us a 1st AND a 2nd round pick. So... yeah. About right, I guess.

  • Seriously Browns, Seriously, you have traded or cut every offensive weapon your team had in the past two years, why can't you trade Cribbs to the Steelers????? That guy is AWSOME!

I'd be surprised if anyone was interested 😕

  • What is quinn worth?

I'd say jack shit. Just like Anderson, we might have to cut him or bundle him with a draft pick or other players to get anything back.

I think you're right about the package deal. We will have to sweeten the pot a little and hopefully get a 3rd round this year for him.

I also think the 'shopping Quinn hard' means that there are multiple offers and we're trying to find the best one. But he is as good as gone. This regime has made up their minds about these two QBs.

PS. I find it curious that they tried to get DA in a new contract so they could keep him, but they wanna ship Quinn outta town? Hmmm..who has more upside again?

  • Later Quinn.

Now things are really looking up.

DA has the rocket arm and the size. He just needed to work on his short game. I think if he wasn't due all that money we would have kept him.

Nah, he's too classy. Poor guy is probably moping around Berea wearing DA's shoes today as a tribute to his departure.

    Ladies & Gentlemen:

I present to you Bret Ratlif, Brady Quinn and Seneca Wallace ... your 2010 Cleveland Browns Quarterbacking Crew!

    Zombo

    ROFLMAO!

  • Anderson could have come to Holmgren and talked to him. If that had happened and Holmgren thought he had some potential DA could possibly still be here. But if you aren't motivated enough to come speak with the new GM who is making the QB decision what does that say about you?

  • Even if said in frustration, it is pretty obvious DA was ready to move on for a fresh start.

wrong thread but i agree. he might have even had an option of coming back under an entirely new deal at a much lower price, although his emotional email didn't help that cause any.

that said. Cleveland is the last place he should be and i can't imagine why he'd want to be here so it doesn't really matter now anyway.

It says that Derek Anderson had zero desire to stay another year in Cleveland. Do you blame him?

  • Let's see:

    Horrible OL

No Running Game til late in the season

    Rookie WR's

A crappy OC learning on the job

    New O System....

Yep, let's blame the QB for all of our problems and never give him a full season to see what we drafted..... and bring in a 35 yr old who throws more INT's than DA and just lost his job to a sure fire future HOFer named ...uhhh...Matt Moore? Yeah, sounds like a good plan for our future to me!

This is why the Browns have sucked for so long.....

    😠
