so it is. i do love that the franchise's future will be present on day-one for the offensive install at Lake Erie WCO University.
he'll have a bright mentor well versed in the system to pop quiz at will, and a solid veteran showing him how it's done on the field. ironically, Jake has a two year contract...i can't imagine a better situation right now.

This better NOT BE TRUE... why does everyone think Bradford is the best thing since sliced bread?! he was a good college qb... but not great. And he's a spread offense qb.. name me successful college qbs who ran spread offenses and are also successful in the nfl. The ONLY one (and this is a HUGE reach) would be alex smith. Stay at 7!! This would be a GREAT trade for the rams.

Supposedly more than a few teams are and one of them (granted also a Rumor) is the Steelers. Either way the Stains will have to unload A LOT to get the number one pick in the draft. It's a bold move because as others have said on this very board, if Bradford doesn't pan out in this scenario the franchise is set back yet again.

Oh really? What about Drew Brees? He ran the spread offense in college and was successful in college and is successful in the NFL.

I'd say if you transplanted a rookie Couch in to the league right now with a Browns organization on the mend you'd have a franchise QB. He just came out at the wrong time. You can't blame Couch. i'd hate it too...if he sucked.can you imagine them trading up to #1 for anyone else than bradford? it would have to be for him.
if true the QB guru's cred is on the line for about the 5th time in as many months.
it's clear this new regime has no problem making a decision.
