Actually I believe you are correct and that makes the most sense.

Robaire has the same ordeal and he's in the starting lineup
Robaire didn't try and take a gun on a airplane post 9/11.

lol I'm not sure how I missed that one. Is there some sort of down syndrome convention in Cleveland?

Womanack and fatazz soft.eclair starting on the right side?
Not suprising at all considering who our HC/OC are, it actually falls well within their brain dead suffocated offensive thinking...
We dont need any backup WRs jake is likely only going to toss the ball 15-20 times a game it should remind us of BQ plinking it only with the interception capability of DA..

Five new starters in the back 8. Any question where we needed help on D?
Roth instead of Wimbley. Upgrade.
Gocong instead of Barton. Upgrade.
Fujita instead of Bowens. Upgrade.
Brown instead of McDonald. Major upgrade.
Ward instead of Pool. Upgrade.
You do the math. But the best part is we now have legitimate depth even behind the new starters. All the linebackers have capable backups (Bowens, Trusnik, Maiava, Benard) as do the secondary players (Adams, McDonald, Asante).
Obviously next year's draft, which I loathe to even bring up in August, gathering young talent along the D-line will be important.
On offense, it had better be the last time St. Clair's name is listed with the 1's. Lauvao will win the RG job before the leaves fall and Womack/Pashos will end up anchoring the right side of the line.
-
how is st claire a starting tackle? at least womack can run block but st claire is a back up at best
-
according to wknr's browns beat reporter, mangini gave pashos a few days off. i guess he dinged up a shoulder, but mangini said it's nothing major. they're not going to rush guys back in. i guess that's whay john slow clair is starting. boy i hope we can get through the whole season without st clair playing.

You seem pretty quick to call Ward an upgrade over Pool. I think the jury is still out on this one. I am still not a huge fan of this pick.

How about this then? Pool gets concussions. Ward gives them.
According to all early reports, Ward will be an enforcer over the middle and a presence in the box. When was this ever said about Pool?
It may be a quick call, but it's an easy one to make.

Yep. Watch the Youtube videos of Ward. The guy hits like a Mack truck. If he stays healthy, he can be the intimidating presence this defense needs.

Browns OLB Marcus Benard moved into the starting lineup Tuesday, pushing Scott Fujita inside with Chris Gocong. Fujita will fill in for D'Qwell Jackson (pectorals), who is out anywhere from 3-8 weeks
I like this lineup alot better, Barton is to slow and flat footed, Fujita isn't a very good pass rusher I think he'll be better inside. With Roth and Gocong we should be able to get better pressure from the outside, watchout Sam Bradford.
