  • He threw two interceptions his first preseason game for Arizona. I cant remember if he had one or two touchdown passes though.

Anderson did throw a TD and with the 2 INT's he had a 45.3 rating. Quinn threw only 1 INT but had no TD's and a 25.0 rating..

Looks like they both are starting right where they left off...

Without trying to start any QB controversy, I think its fair to say that our QB situation is MUCH MUCH better with Delhomme and Wallace. I don't care who starts. We can win games with either one..

  • Both BQ and DA stunk it up today for their teams even colt as a raw noob looked and played at least equal, we are so much better off now with jake and seneca it looks like holmgren hit the bullseye on this one...now i feel bad for doubting mikes wisdom regarding the whole move from DA/BQ to JD/SW what a breath of fresh air these guys are going to blow into this clubs season!...

  • "Every day was frustrating, at times," Anderson said.

it wouldn't have been so frustrating if he wouldn't have been throwing the ball to the other team so much. no one would've been calling for brady!brady! if he wasn't throwing the ball into the ground on short passes most of the time. what does it say about da if he couldn't beat out bq? he could've silenced all of the bq chants with better qb play. no one is to blame but him. i'm glad da and bq are both gone. we have some real qbs in town now .

and will these damn cleveland castoffs please move on with their damn lives!! first lebron, then braylon and now da. who's next, butch davis???

I agree. I think what is happening is that these athletes buy into the negative hype about Cleveland and NE Ohio, so they automatically come in here with a chip on their shoulder thinking that they are going to be the so-called "savior" of this area. Then when they don't perform, because of their over-confidence, and cockiness, they blame us as fans for getting pissed off when they don't perform to expectations! Hey, if you do half way decent and show effort, Cleveland fans will support you. We want our sports teams to be a mirror of us, and that is blue-collar, tough and hardworking. It really isn't that hard. So in other words, keep it real, don't try to be too hollywood, and as Paul Brown used to say; "act like you been there," and Cleveland fans will get behind you! Ask Browns players from the 80s about our loyalty and how we respected those players. They gave us a great product on the field, and earned our respect.

  • Derek and brady don't even deserve conversation. Brady will be out of the league teaming up with channing tatum in no time.

Derek will probably be able to be a back up for a few more years. I also didn't find the humor in his ints. He deserved to get cheered when he was hurt. I still replay it every now and then when I need a good laugh.

  • I think these departed guys miss us (fans). They get to these third-world cities who throw a bunch of money at them, but when they step out of their limo they get a gathering and a golf clap, not the crazy-eye frenzy freaking fans that live in Cleveland.

There's no place like Cleveland, there's no place like Cleveland ...

Regardless of the fact is that the departed guys miss the fans, Anderson and Edwards still sucked.

i don't think DA has the clout to call a press conference. it's the preseason and this AP reporter probably sought him out for a 3rd rate story. yes, he did make the one comment after getting cut but if somebody just swiped millions out from under you, you'd probably react the same.

things were alot different when he was struggling, bad OL, no running game, a coach who sucked and the FO who couldn't do anything right. for a 6th round guy he did ok for what he had. i wish him well.

and don't be ringing the bell for our qbs just yet. even though i want all of them to light it up when they have to, we've only got the one preseason game to judge them on.

  • Why a topic on DA or BQ????? Didn't you get enough to say about these guys over the past 2 years---geesh....

This is the 2010 season, we have 2 exciting QB's in the fold and an interesting rookie, give it a rest about our former QB's...

I wish them well and I don't hate either of them but for cripes sake enough is enough is enough already...

I'm sure there are more interesting topics to report on.........

    Peace

    T.Dawg

  • DA STFU you suck ass as bad as any QB ever....except maybe Queen. Still, shut your mouth dude.

    There's no MAYBE about it.

The three years that they were on the same team, Anderson was 16-15 as a starter and while Quinn was 3-9.

Anderson was the better QB, Zombo was right, Shep and the QFs were painfully wrong.

    Long Live Jake Delhomme!

    Zombo

I REALLY couldn't agree more!!!! A huge thanks for this post!!!

  • The untold story here is one of the suffering browns fan once again, if DA thinks he was frustrated he needs to look at the beleaguered fans many knowing full well DA was not the answer and yet that lousy regime refused to let us see if BQ could be the answer for way to long..of course now we know why and neither one was the answer and both were the majority of the problem that just went totally unaddressed by savage and crennel..

It just recently dawned on me how much of a difference mangini ,heckert and holmgren have already made in improving the club, they are making the tough decisions that matter instead of letting things get out of control...now mangini needs to man up and do some pet dumping when something better comes along and quit playing favorites we all know ratty is never going to be any good and elam severely lacks awareness, aggression and a nose for the ball he is weak at both strong and free safety but is likely slightly better than adams at least until asante develops...

2 thumbs up for mangini showing the fans colt mccoy so we could see just how raw this kid is..he showed some good traits but needs a lot of work and it should prevent fans screaming for colt if jake and seneca make some mistakes, i look forward to watching colt mature over time as a quarterback or as trade bait if the regime deems it so but i appreciate the way mangini and this regime are running things...you cant help but to feel good about most of it..

Zombo your a f!cking idiot too. Better QB my ass, he had the worst QB rating possible, Quinn had a better rating just sitting on the bench. Maybe DA shouldnt have passed as much, maybe that was his problem?

    You f!cking mook bastard.

Dude they both blow. Lucky for you brady will be takin off his clothes for money in a few years. So save those dolla bills for some lap dances.

Oprah, barba walters, your wife. You have to kill one, marry one and xxxx one. Go

  • Agreed!

  • DA got the team to 10 wins! No other Browns QB has done that since 99'. (Only 8 Browns QB's have ever done that) The Brown should have gone to the playoffs that year if Dungey hadn't made his team take a dive in the last game of the year. Still people screamed for Quinn no wonder his confidence was shot.

I wish him luck. The Card's job will be his soon. Lienhart will be a bigger bust than Couch.

  • And kevin mass hit 24 hrs in half a season with the yankees and he was still a bum

  • How can one resist another DA/Quinn thread.

Somethings never change. Zombo you sound like Rich4tard telling everyone how you picked the lesser of two evils to blow.

Its good to have them both off the team. Their carnage still is present at least in this thread.

However; if you remember... the Browns controlled their own destiny and had control of that last playoff spot, and blew it when they lost to the Bengals. The Browns should have taken care of their own business instead of being at the mercy of another team. You knew Indy was going to rest their starters (stupid as it may be). They do it every year! They beat the Bengals, they win the division at 11-5, and Pittsburgh stays home. Instead we tie for the division at 10-6 and stay home.

Oh, I know. I totally remember the situation. Just easier to block that part out they were so close though.

I was at that game in Cincinnati on Christmas eve I think. Anderson IS the better QB but when he threw those two INT's right before half time that is was ended up costing us the game and our playoff spot. I was sooooo mad when my brother and I left that game!
