    Good point.

  • I agree with other posts here. I would give the article a c+ at best. I noticed you failed to even mention Hillis catching the ball out of the backfield as a threat this week. I n fact you didn't even list him as one of our backs. I know that technically him and Vickers are fullbacks but Hillis will catch and carry the ball. And did you even mention Vickers is one of if not the best Fullback in the league? I didn't see that.

And as for Zombo's post I agree to an extent. I like the differences on this board but at the same time some of you were complete jerks! This guy actually was writing an article and he actually did use some of what people on this board told him. I agree that I wouldn't do research that way. But as a secondary research technique it isn't so bad. And he shared the article when he was done with it. Or at least what he thought was done. I would revise it if I was him. He has received some good feedback on things that he missed.

Sometimes it is annoying how quick you all are to label somebody as an idoit or a douche or a board troller when they actually have a legit reason for visiting or they just want to have a good dialogue. Can't you all just get along? At least a little bit?

You're right about Hillis. I don't know why I didn't remember him, because that is someone I wanted the Rams to pick up. I didn't mention Vickers either, but if it makes you fell any better I didn't mention our pro-bowl fullback Mike Kearney either. I must of looked at an out-dated roster, I knew you guys had Harrison and Hardesty, and the roster had the other two RBs I mentioned, but I didn't see Vickers or Hillis on the roster (probably because they were listed at FB).

And your right, it did need some editing, but like I said the one you're looking at is a rough draft.

  • Seriously, I don't make fun of other browns fans for answering this Retard. I am a new yorker and I don't know how you people do it but if someone comes into our stadium with opposing gear we heckle the shit out of them. It isn't anything personal. You know its all in good fun. I don't think stlsportblog will lose any sleep.

Grow a nutsnack browns fans. I can't believe all the feedback just for heckling.

If you went to the board that I frequent there would probably be a few immature posters, followed by some very helpful ones. So no worries, I knew what to expect. All forums are the same.

This is probably my last post (might check back after the game Saturday). But thanks a bunch to those who helped me out. Much apprecieted.

  • Stlsportbarf,

Feel free to comeback once ur team is 0 and 16. Apparently there are some browns fans with man crushes who you maybe able to convert into rams fans.

It has nothing to do with being immature, you penis. Its about being passionate. Your little brownies and comment about us needing luck comment brought this on. Like I said I wouldn't go into some ones house talkin smack and then expecting them not to retort.

Actually, now that you bring it up, it has everything to do with being immature. On every forum (mine included) there are posters who are mature enough to tell the difference between mild joking and flat out trolling. And there are some members (you) who can't tell the difference. But I'll just leave it at that. You're free to think whatever you want. If mild jabs on a forum bother you that much, then you must have a pretty good life.

but like I said, I knew what to expect. So I'm not gonna hold it against you.

  • Hahaha the duke of earl has spoken. Freak, I thought it was clear it was all in good fun. My life consist of laughin at homos like you..

Thank you, you made my day

  • And make no mistake about it, I didn't heckle you cause I thought you were a troll. I did it cause you liked the rams. I expected some whitty comments back, but I guess not.

I misread your tone. But you seem to have a problem with me "coming into your house" and laying down smack...but little do you know that's exactly what the Rams are gonna be doing to the Browns Saturday. I hope your rookie CB's like the smell of burnt rubber.

  • Dude it was all in good fun. My best friend is a rams die hard. So maybe my tone didn't come across right.

Who are ur wrs now, avery... let's just say if they do burn us we are in for a long season

  • Btw the biggest news that came from ur first preason game was patrick clark singing the anthem. Nice

you've got problems kid. what the F does being in NY have to do with the fact that you come off as being a immature prick. i bet you're the type that has a couple of beers (if you're old enough) and starts sprouting beer muscles. i find it hard to believe that someone that has the mentality that you do could root for the browns and not the jets or giants. gotta be a yankee fan, at least your posts lead me to think that way.

BTW you can come out of the closet now. for someone calling people homos, each one of your posts has some reference to man parts i.e. penis, nutsack etc. sounds pretty gay to me.

  • Haha mikt

You are right I am a yankee fan, so kudos to ya. If you ever went to yankee stadium you would know what I'm talkin bout That said did holgrem get together with browns fans. I know he had talked about a nicer and gentler fan but come on man. Its freakin heckling, the homo jokes are all in good fun.

    Stay gay

I'm gonna have to disagree with one of your opinions. How does your WR/QB passing game get the advantage? You have Danny Amendola starting, he was a UDFA and spent the last 2 season's on practice squad's. I think your underrating MoMass, Robiskie, and Cribbs a bit. Cribbs didn't play special teams last game so he can focus on the WR position, so I wouldn't look at cribbs as just a special teamer. And you dont even mention the TE's Evan Moore and Ben Watson who also play in the slot and split out occasionally, they've been the brightest spot in the passing game. We put MoMass, Robiskie, Moore and Watson on the field with Jake Delhomme at QB....were gonna surprise alot of people this year passing the balls.

I disagree with your point on the WR's. It doesn't matter if Amendola was a UDFA, he has shown more in this league than Robiskie. Until Robiskie proves me wrong, I'll take Amendola any day over him (if not for his ST value alone). And Donnie Avery (or Robinson, take your pick) is every bit of the receiver Massaquoi is. And then we got Mardy Gilyard who should be a deep ball threat. But the Rams are actually pretty crowded at WR this year, despite what you might have heard. We don't have that elite #1 WR right now (neither does Cleveland), but we certainly have an intense fight for roster spots going on, and we got some quality at that position. Your WR core kind of reminds me of our WR core last year. You have a guy or two that showed some promise the previous year, but the rest of the guys are somewhat unknowns when it comes to regular season performance (other than a play or two in a few games). Cribbs could very well help improve the WR position for you guys, but again, he is an unknown for the most part (not a whole lot of time at WR).

But you could certainly make a point about your team being much better at TE. The Rams have basically nothing at TE except for very raw players with no experience, but with some potential. This is one point I failed to mention in the article.

Jake Delhomme could very well turn it around. But he kind of reminds me of Marc Bulger, except not as damaged. Bulger is completely shell-shocked and just no longer has any poise in the pocket, which causes a lot of stupid throws. I hope he works out for you guys, but I would easily take Bradford over Delhomme at this point, hands down. But that's just my opinion. Bradford's ceiling is at a point where Delhomme will never even sniff, we know Delhomme's ceiling (above average QB that can win with a good supporting cast). Bradford will make some rookie mistakes, but he just has a hell of an arm and killer accuracy.

I think you'll change your mind on Robiskie tomorrow night, will see. He didn't get on the field much last year because Mangini has a philosophy of earning playing time through special teams. Doing that helps with player respect and competition, no matter where your drafted you gotta earn playing time. Even if it hurts the team short term its worth the long term gain.

Robo was targeted 21 times at WR and had 7 catches for a average of 15yds a catch (7th in the AFC) That's made him work extremely hard through the offseason on route running and understanding the offense. This training camp and preseason he's shown what everybody wanted to see last year from a 2nd round pick. He'll go into the season the starter and will be the target of alot more passes; accurately thrown passes at that.

I would take Bradford over Delhomme because of age and upside, but that doesn't mean Bradford is anywhere close the QB JD is right now. In the future he'll probably be better, if they get him an O-line, but right now not even close.

Now thats alot of talk for a team who got the first pick in the draft lol. You still going to show up Sunday to retract that statement after the Browns win 27-6?

i get the heckling and shit. i just didn't know why you jumped on the guy. it's not like he came in here like a steelers troll talkin shit.

    btw yankee fans are gay.

I'll have to take a close look at Robiskie Saturday. I always liked him as a draft prospect, it should be interesting to see what he's capable of.

But I disagree with what you said about Bradford. I understand you are giving the edge to the vet, and you might even be right about Delhomme being a better QB right now. But I think you are under-estimating what Bradford is capable of, even as a rookie. I've been watching him closely, especially since he came to STL, and we've got a good one on our hands. I'm sure you're familiar with his potential, especially since there were talks of Cleveland moving up to grab him. But I'm telling you, that potential is already showing more than any Rams fan has expected at this point. Delhomme might still be better this year, but I don't think it's as far off as you think.

  • if i was a rams fan i'd be worried about bradford's durability, much like i am of colt mccoy's. man if he goes down on that shoulder again it could be career ending.

other than that how are the other draft picks looking for you guys? is chris long living up to expectations?

  • miket,

thats cool you got to go to the old yankee stadium. I haven't been to a game in about a year. Its crazy going back to the bleacher creatures they will make anyone look like a saint. I was disgusted when I saw a little kid get his orioles banner ripped in half and thrown off the upper deck. Arod is gay! I did like the indians after major league. It would be great if harry doyle was your announcer and ricky vaughn did play for them.

    stlsportblog,

The sad thing is the rams will probably have the number 1 pick again and most likely we will trade up to take a QB. it is a lose lose situation in my opionion. If we win too many games we get stuck with mangina, but hell i cant root for them to lose... So here is to the Browns becoming the 1999 rams
