What do the last two posts have to do with fans and loyal fans and fans all over the nation??????????? I will answer nothing!!! The numbers presented list the value of the franchise and that is based primarily on two things the local fan base and their monies and companies who pays for the tickets and the number of massively expensive loges those fans can buy. It has nothing to do with the number of fans around the nation who support those teams and pay virtually nothing for that privilege.
It does include local revenue and memorabilia revenue and competition locally to the franchise.................
duh who competes with the Cowboys for MID South and MIDWEST South fan revenue................oh yeah the Cardinals and the Texans.........nuff said
I have no idea why these numbers have any relevance as to whom has fans showing up everywhere at sports bars in our nation...............
and I CAN REASSURE THE STEELERS have more than anyone else..........cause I been there

You are an idiot........the links were off topic and had no bearing on who has the largest fan base...........plug your head back into de darkness

That is interesting! I too was at the game Sunday in Nashville with two other Browns fans including Flugels and Titan/Brown fan.
Well thanks a lot!
I was at the Hilton bar to watch the Gators...went up to the room to take a shower, and was at Tootsies by 11 after a stop at Roberts.
I talked to Flugs...but he didn't sound very motivated to meet....I was on Legends Corner until 2:30 AM with some friends on another board.
I wish I would have known.

Here's a link to an article from ESPN back in August that ranked the NFL fan bases. Decent article.

I saw a couple that fit the description...I was sitting at the bar...3 from the end..the side of the bar facing the street...a girl and her boyfriend were sitting next to me...they were rooting for the Gators as well. I was wearing my blue Gator hat.
I think you guys were standing right behind me for a while.

I missed that but we missed an opportunity

and brittney spears sells a lot of albums>>>your stiller gear/national bars etc means nothing>>the lemming award has no merit in this discussion.
here's why the Browns are at or near the top. dawg the BH had a decent list.
Bills fans have much class.
and Kansas City is in there somewhere too.
Bears make my top ten also.
panthers fans are rarely in attendance--the stands are filled w/ corporate psl's. just faces in a crowd, nothing much more.

Cleveland is No #1 in rankings of NFL fan loyalty. ( http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14686579/ )
The Cleveland Browns stumbled to a 6-10 record last year, their third straight losing season. Browns Stadium was sold out for every game.
The Kansas City Chiefs entered the season with high hopes, but missed the playoffs for the second year in a row. Arrowhead Stadium was sold out for every game.
The Philadelphia Eagles plummeted to a 6-10 mark, their worst since 1999. Lincoln Financial Field was sold out for every game.
Such steadfast support is the reason why Cleveland, Kansas City and Philadelphia are 1-2-3 in Bizjournals's new rankings of National Football League fan loyalty. (Click here for the top-to-bottom standings of all 32 teams.)
The study set out to identify the NFL's best fans. Not the ones who turn out in strong numbers for a winning team, but the ones who stay loyal even if their team is losing, the weather is frightful or their local market is small.
Cleveland fans earned first place by routinely packing their 73,000-seat stadium despite the dismal play of the Browns — who have won only 36 of 112 games since 1999 — and a climate that is among the coldest in the league.

It is kind of humorous that an opposing fan comes on OUR message board and tries to talk about fan loyalty. The fact is, with our current record...and the recent (since the Baltimore fiasco) history for the Browns...there can be no doubt about the loyalty of anyone posting here on this board declaring themselves a Browns fan.
Now, if the team you root for is winning...and especially if it has been winning for some time....it is valid to question a fan's loyalty....when they became a fan....what BAD TIMES have they gone through with the team....etc....
Although not ALL Steeler fans are bandwagoners....it is pretty fair to assume that there is at least a decent number of them sitting in the stands on any given Sunday due to the recent successes.
I will put money that there isn't a SINGLE bandwagon fan of the Browns sitting in the stands in Cleveland.

I never said Steeler fans were better. Both teams have something to brag about as far as fans go. The Browns fans are the most loyal.....period. Steeler fans follow their team, support their team, and understand that the organization and coaches probably know a little more than we do.I am 52 years old and have been a Steeler fan since the age of 11 or 12 so my time includes a few of the "doormat" years and the mediocre 80's. Never once did I experience hate for the Browns or their fans during the 80's when we couldn't beat you guys, a healthy rivalry type of hatred during game time, but not a deep seated hatred like you guys have. But then, I/we haven't experienced this feeling for 40 years running so I can only hope that I would not act as you do.
I am here because I live in NE Ohio and am fascinated by the tens of thousands (if not millions) of Browns fans who hate the Steelers and their fans simply because we beat you like red headed step children. Quite frankly there are a host of teams who own the Browns over the past few decades and there are other cities who's fans endure a bad product decade after decade and their fans don't hate........why is this?
Did it ever occur to you that it is not hate but a feeling of competition that is fueled by something called divisional rivalry ? Pittsburg and Cleveland are in the same divison and will face each other twice. Same with Oakland and San Diego. So this "hatred" is not something common to just the Browns.

I disagree but that shouldn't shock you.The Browns organization is one that would be very easy to slam and throw darts at, I have not done that. The majority of my posts state simple facts, or dispute stupid statements. It's evident that you don't like facts that make you look bad; People make comments about the Steelers being the doormat of the league for 30-40 years and it doesn't antagonize me because it's simply the truth..
It's like a used car salesman who gets angry when people make comments about used car salesmen; used car salesmen have earned their reputation just like the Steelers did from 1933 to 1970 and the Browns have from 1965 to the present.
you represent yourself, not the entire steeler fan base.

Just go to the top and do a search for the word 'stains'...and you will find at least 5 steeler fans on here using that word...and THIS IS A BROWNS FORUM!!! I can just imagine the usage on a Steeler board. I didn't even bother to look at the other words like clowns, etc...
YOU may be classy enough not to use it (as is Preacher), but for the most part...I tend to think most Pittsburgh fans are quite vitriolic when it comes to talking about the Browns.

I guess the difference is that on the Steeler boards I've been on the Browns are not a topic of conversation like the Steelers are here. Quite honestly the Steeler fans talk about the next opponent, the weak offense, the terrible O-line, the awesome defense, etc. And to be honest there are a few there who use derogatory words about the Browns but here, I would be willing to bet that 80% of the references to the Steelers are vitriolic (nice word BTW). It's obvious that the fans here are enthralled by the Steelers, positive or negative.Again, you are looking at this as in a bubble. I doubt that you have a lot of BROWNS FANS over on your Steeler sites stirring the pot! If you did, then the topic of the Browns would come up more...and then the vitriol (yeah, I liked that word too) would start flowing.
So, let's put it this way....next year...if the Browns were kicking but and the Steelers struggled...and you got a bunch of Browns fans over on Steeler message boards talking smack...do you honestly believe they would be treated with kid gloves?
