David Bowens

Sundays's game and TD returns by David Bowens reminded me of a game from 1993 when Linebacker David Brandon returned an interception 92 yards for a TD. I was in the Dawg Pound that day as we beat Chicago. Got that same feeling this week after a big win.

I felt really bad when it was previously stated he may be cut. I have always liked his play, which ALWAYS seems to be over achieving. It's great to see still playing for the Browns & in the spotlight!

Last year, a lot of folks ripped Mangini for bringing in guys from the Jets who knew his system. This is what every coach does. Let me tell you from experience though (my brother is a Jets season-ticket holder) that David Bowens may be old and lumbering but he is smart and above ALL ELSE....he is the consummate "TEAM" player. He is a terribly UNSELFISH player and if there was a HOF for that type of guy, he would be in it.

He got defensive player of the week.
