I hope that we are not over-looking Buffalo

  • i was watching inside the nfl earlier this season and after highlights of one of the broncos games (a game that they won), mcdaniels was lecturing the team over what they did wrong. didn't focus on the fact that they just won the game. i understand that there is always room for improvement, but at least let your team enjoy a W. the guy really needs to mature before he's given another opportunity to lead a team.

  • It is possible that we could be a little flat. We were a little flat two weeks ago and Mangini complained that the defense had a bad week of practice and it translated to the field. We have been fired up to play a lot of very good teams. Now we play someone that we should beat (not a gimme though) and we will see if we can bring the same intensity.

  • We are 5-7. How in the world would this team think they are that much better than anyone in order to overlook them?

  • Yeah I was looking past them, which would have cost the browns to lose.

One time I didn't cheer loud enough and the browns lost, another time I wore the wrong jersey.

Crazy the impact a fan can have on his team from watching on tv.

As fans we can talk about running the table, it gives us a little chance to dream

  • Agreed. Buffalo is no push-over, in fact, they gave Pittsburgh a hell of a game. In truth, Buffalo had Pittsburgh beat and no Stooler fan can deny that. If that wideout catches the ball in the endzone (which should have been caught) Buffalo wins.

Nonetheless, we will NOT win many games if we replicate Sunday's performance at Miami. You very seldom win a football game with 13 points and 6 (maybe 7 or 8?) punts.

They probably will if they repeat their defensive performance. Remember the last time the Browns played in Buffalo the score was 9-0.

It was browns winning 6 to 3 with that epic performance by D.A. going 2 for 17

While DA was terrible, it was our WRs and TEs that put on the epic performance that day. The amount of drops was amazing.

Yeah, they played Baltimore and Pittsburgh a lot tougher than we did, and their offense seems to get better as the season goes along, first year in Chan Gailey's system and Fitzpatrick is no slouch. The Bills are 1.5 point favorites ... we're going to have to play a solid mistake-free game to win.

    Zombo

How in the world can you overlook ANY team on the road? As you mentioned, We're 1.5 point UNDERDOGS. And as others have said- the Bills had the Steelrs beat in overtime if that goober doesn't pull a Braylon Edwards and drop a pass in the endzone 95% of high school kids haul in for the winning score. They a scrappy bunch those Bills- and like the Browns FAR better than their record.

  • You know damn well Mangini will prepare this team, Browns aren't good enough to over-look anybody.

  • After the scare that the Panthers put into the Browns I don't think they will look past anyone no should they.

IMO after getting wooped by the Vikes and a game the should have had against the Steelers the Bills will come out 1 of 2 ways. Either soft and a bit deflated or super pissed and looking to get back on track against the Browns who seem to be just a step ahead of them in the rebuild process.

  • Yeah I was looking past them, which would have cost the browns to lose.

... and I'm sure not a single player, coach, or personnel listens to the radio or reads the paper? In fact, the media and fans had no influence on any dis-association with Bill Belichick, because the media and fans were never heard, right? Braylon Edwards never felt slighted by being from the State up North? Derek Anderson never felt the wrath? No player in the history of sports never felt pressure or over confidence from the media and fan base?

STFU and go hate somewhere else. You are such a cranky little bitch.

  • How can any team with Jake Delhomme starting overlook ANYONE?

  • We struggled against Carolina, who are the worst team in the league, so my hopes are tempered for each game for the rest of the season until McCoy is back.

    I was just kidding...

  • THere is an awful lot of talk here, among Browns fans in general, and in the media of the Browns lookiing to "win-out", the only way to win-out is to win each weeks game in front of you and it starts with a big task Sunday in Buffalo. That team up there is scary and not far behind us. I hope it continues to blizzard and becomes a running game. With Hillis and our Defense, I think we have the advantage, but I hope the change from Miami to Buffalo on the road don't hurt us.

We need to start concentrating on Buffalo. THe Baltimore and Pittsburgh games are miles away.

Yep...Just like a team or two that may have looked past us. There are no guaranteed wins in this league.

    Mike

  • Hillis can get well quick against the worst run defense in the NFL. The Browns are +7 in turnovers.....a sign of a disciplined team. The Browns had only 4 penalties against the fish.....another sign of a team

playing smart. Secondary is clamping down creating increase in QB pressure/sacks. Special teams have been steppin up and makin' plays. Keep the offensive game plan well within the limits of what Jake

can effectively manage and the Browns have anoother excellent opportunity for a victory as they step up their swagger. It's money time.

I agree, I thought we physically out-played Baltimore, we just didn't know how to win. I expect Baltimore to come here with an axe to grind.

since joe haden is now starting, i feel like we have the key ingredient in place to actually win this time. i don't see him giving up 3 TDs to Boldin.

  • What am I missing about how we match up with Buffalo? Vegas has us down by 1.5 and the consensus at ProFootballWeekly is that Buffalo will win. I say we will run the ball effectively against the worst run defense in the league, eat up the clock winning time of possession, and our backfield will get another interception or two winning the turnover battle.

What's the argument on the other side?
