I hope that we are not over-looking Buffalo

Yeah, they played Baltimore and Pittsburgh a lot tougher than we did, and their offense seems to get better as the season goes along, first year in Chan Gailey's system and Fitzpatrick is no slouch. The Bills are 1.5 point favorites ... we're going to have to play a solid mistake-free game to win.

I think we played Baltimore pretty damn tough.

  • @wrrebel said:

Yeah I was looking past them, which would have cost the browns to lose.

One time I didn't cheer loud enough and the browns lost, another time I wore the wrong jersey.

Crazy the impact a fan can have on his team from watching on tv.

As fans we can talk about running the table, it gives us a little chance to dream

... and I'm sure not a single player, coach, or personnel listens to the radio or reads the paper? In fact, the media and fans had no influence on any dis-association with Bill Belichick, because the media and fans were never heard, right? Braylon Edwards never felt slighted by being from the State up North? Derek Anderson never felt the wrath? No player in the history of sports never felt pressure or over confidence from the media and fan base?

STFU and go hate somewhere else. You are such a cranky little bitch.

    I was just kidding...

  • THere is an awful lot of talk here, among Browns fans in general, and in the media of the Browns lookiing to "win-out", the only way to win-out is to win each weeks game in front of you and it starts with a big task Sunday in Buffalo. That team up there is scary and not far behind us. I hope it continues to blizzard and becomes a running game. With Hillis and our Defense, I think we have the advantage, but I hope the change from Miami to Buffalo on the road don't hurt us.

We need to start concentrating on Buffalo. THe Baltimore and Pittsburgh games are miles away.

Yep...Just like a team or two that may have looked past us. There are no guaranteed wins in this league.

    Mike

  • Hillis can get well quick against the worst run defense in the NFL. The Browns are +7 in turnovers.....a sign of a disciplined team. The Browns had only 4 penalties against the fish.....another sign of a team

playing smart. Secondary is clamping down creating increase in QB pressure/sacks. Special teams have been steppin up and makin' plays. Keep the offensive game plan well within the limits of what Jake

can effectively manage and the Browns have anoother excellent opportunity for a victory as they step up their swagger. It's money time.

I agree, I thought we physically out-played Baltimore, we just didn't know how to win. I expect Baltimore to come here with an axe to grind.

since joe haden is now starting, i feel like we have the key ingredient in place to actually win this time. i don't see him giving up 3 TDs to Boldin.

  • What am I missing about how we match up with Buffalo? Vegas has us down by 1.5 and the consensus at ProFootballWeekly is that Buffalo will win. I say we will run the ball effectively against the worst run defense in the league, eat up the clock winning time of possession, and our backfield will get another interception or two winning the turnover battle.

What's the argument on the other side?

    easy Jake Delhomme..

    need I say more?

  • eric-mangini-cleveland-browns.jpg
  • I expect Jake is finally getting comfortable with the offense and with his receivers. They'll ask him to manage the game and occasionally be effective with play action passing. His experience is a bonus compared to Fitzgerald, who is going to get picked!

But you get almost 3 points for playing at home. I like are chances.

  • We need to find a way to get Jake out of the game. He is awful

  • Not only does Buffalo have a bad run defense but they lost two of their offensive linemen last week. Our defense needs to make a statement this week and get after the quarterback. We are the more talented team. If we limit our mistakes I know we can win.

  • Surprised Bills fan hasn't weighed in yet.troll-doll.jpg

Agreed. Buffalo is no push-over, in fact, they gave Pittsburgh a hell of a game. In truth, Buffalo had Pittsburgh beat and no Stooler fan can deny that. If that wideout catches the ball in the endzone (which should have been caught) Buffalo wins.

Nonetheless, we will NOT win many games if we replicate Sunday's performance at Miami. You very seldom win a football game with 13 points and 6 (maybe 7 or 8?) punts.

They probably will if they repeat their defensive performance. Remember the last time the Browns played in Buffalo the score was 9-0.

It was 8-0 one of the rarest scores in Browns history. I think of it as the "white-out" game and Phil Dawson kicking a 49 yard FG in the blowning wind and snow. This looks like the perfect Hillis game, just grind it out. It will be a close game into the 4th quarter. I don't think overlook applies here the Browns know where they came from in the beginning of the season. You can't look past anyone in the NFL.

I hear ya. Traditionally, these alleged supposed to win games have stiung us bad. It's like getting Heidi's Kluhms between the sheets and finding out you got slinky stinger and no viagra to remedy it. Well, not quite that bad - but it's freakin disppointing.

The Buffalo Bills were a dropped pass in the end zone from beating Pittsburgh. PLUS, Jake Delhomme still scares me especially when rattled.

We are a few stupid turnovers from being 8-4 or 9-3.

Should have beat the Bucs, Chiefs, Jets and Jags.

Granted, shoulda, coulda, woulda means nothing... This team is coming together right now. I think Delhomme will get benched again by the end of the season and ride the bench next year in favor of McCoy as the starter.

  • The browns will win this game, so put your money on it..

Btw, watch for the fake fg this week

    A. The Bills are at home. That gives them an instant 3 point Vegas edge. Plus, they play tough at home. Witness that they should have beaten the Steelers

    B. The Bills play tough no matter who they play. Of their 10 losses, 6 have been by a TD or less.

    C. Their offense can put up some point. People like what Ryan Fitzpatrick has been doing.
