  • Looks like Mitchell and Norwood are playing this week. I really like Norwood, small guy but one of the fastest players in the NFL.

San Fran has no idea about these two guys, both could be huge for a victory both very fast. Get the ball to them in open space and see what happens....

So it looks like we will have bascially 3 rookies starting and wide-out, I know Michell is not a rookie, but did not play much last yr

Somebody mentioned the 9ers using walker because they are thin at reciever. That is simply not the case. Walker is a viable weapon that can create a mis-match with linebackers, cornerbacks, and saftys alike. If the 9ers used their speedy slot reciever there to run the slant he is not able to drag the dude into the end-zone the way walked did. He can block, run and catch. He will line up all over the field, including in the slot.

    .

    Delanie Walker 11 114 10.4 29 3

Walker is Ave is 2.2 catches a game....Again I follow almost every team(Its part of my job). He is in there more because your wide-outs were all hurt, and yes he is more used in the red zone. Nice Player thou.....

Delanie had more catches and yards through his first six games last year than he did this year, and our wideouts weren't hurt. We aren't using him more at all, it's the same as it always was. Also, Alex Smith doesn't throw that often. Walker has 2.2 catches because he sits behind Vernon Davis, and plays in a run-first offense.

Delanie has been praised coach after coach for years. He used to be a wide receiver in college. The dude is a beast. He has been lining up as a WR for a few years now, trying to get a linebacker to cover him to create a mismatch. DW would be a starter on most teams.

I understand if you cover every team, but true Niner fans know Delanie better than you do. I don't mean this to be offensive, but it's like I came in talking about how well I know Robiskie (sp?). I don't, and I will never claim to know any Browns player better than any fan.

You think that Braylon hasn't played good since leaving the Browns? How have the Browns fared since then?

Gee and u think the Browns were playoff calibre when Braylon was there ? look at the history and the record. Why dont u use the Jets as an example considering they are the neutral team ? Why would they let Braylon go and replace him with Burress who has nvr played in the NFL in a while ? Which NFL team in its right mind will do that ? Also after he was let go, how many NFL teams came with a contract for him ?

What you fail to realize is that Braylon is our 4th or 5th option in the passing game. He isnt asked to be the man in San Fran like he was in Cle. Our first option is of course our TE`s(Vernon Davis & Delanie Walker who both have 3 Tds a piece. Our 3rd option in the passing game is Crabtree and he has worked with Alex for a couple years now. You could even argue that Gore and Hunter will see more targets out of the backfield than Braylon will. So that makes him our 4th or 5th option in the passing game? That is a freaking awesome 4th-5th option if I do say so myself. He had 900yds and 7 tds last year for the Jets who were a run first team. Our 5th option puts up better numbers then your #1 option. Dont hate dude, its ok. Get over it already.

  • he was also getting passes from a semi-respectable QB in NY. sanchez >>> game-manger-almost-geriatric smith who finally figured out how to pass the ball 7 years into his career.

Sounds to me like you fans should be mad at your front office and not Braylon Edwards. For them not putting a viable QB option to pair with your would be All Pro WR. I seem to remember the one year that you guys got really good QB play and went to the playoffs Braylon had 16 td rec. That doesnt happen on accident, Braylon has always had the skill set to be a force in this league. He just never got any solid QB play.

Even in 2007 when you guys took the NFL by storm didnt you guys play 2 qbs much of the year? It was Anderson and I can remember the other guy, who was it? Tim Couch? Point is they have not had any consistency at the QB position for a long time and Edwards performance was a direct result. You guys are lucky to have Holmgren though. He will certainly find you a qaulity NFL QB sooner then later. Thats what he does, and he does it well.

    "All-pro" WR's aren't all-pro for one good season.

For as many good plays Braylon made in Cleveland he had two or three bad ones.

    Plus the drama.

He thought we hated him because he was from Michigan. No dummy, we hated you because you acted like TO before putting up the stats on the field.

He asked a Texans DB on the line of scrimmage for information about his modeling agent.

Enjoy him. Good wideout or not, he isn't missed.

Wow, really? I have to admit, that is pretty damn pathetic. Get your fing head in the game. I never heard that story before. Could you please share some more Braylon gems? This is a real concern for me because as you know we had to deal with the real TO(AKA diva presidentay). And most Niner fans will tell you, up until this year Crabtree has been a bit of a diva himself. Not only that but Vernon Davis was trying to pull that diva stuff too until Singletary threw his ass out of the game and kicked him off the sideline. I think Vernon has turned it around though and I think he finally gets it, the team comes first. I know all about cancers in the locker room and how they can divide a team and ruin it. Im just not as aware of his antics as much as you Browns fans would be. I was kinda hoping the niners would re-sign him after this year. Everything I have heard has been on the up an up. Of course Harbaugh has known Edwards since he was a young child, maybe that helps, IDK.

I honestly don't care if he goes diva, as long as he is a productive receiver. I think after seeing not too many teams have an interest in signing him, he is going to become more of a team player and less about himself.

Oh wait! Are we talking about Braylon or TO?

  • Thats funny, the whole wife a whore as long as she treats me right...LOL...Thats funny, real funny!!!!!

  • Look with Edwards, you signed him to a nothing contract, so if he acts like a jack ass, it will not cost you shit.

BE just has not lived up to the expections, let alone his own idea of how great he is...

To be fair, if you do plan on a modeling career, "Smooth" Will Demps would be the DB to ask.
