Found A Mock Draft Everyone Would Love

I'd pass on Richardson that high, he's not going to break nearly as many tackles in the NFL and he doesn't have great speed. He's got good feet and vision but whats made him great in college is breaking tackles. In the NFL he's gonna have a tougher go at it and nobody's gonna fear him taking it the distance. Not really what we need, gotta get a game changer, somebody who makes safeties have to stay in deep coverage and that will open up the middle and run game.
He runs a 4.4 40, hor is that not great speed for a RB.

I don't believe that, but will see at the combine. When I've watched him he gets caught from behind easily. He's got quick feet, but I dont see take it to the house speed on film. Not to mention probably the best O-line in football

Worst mockdraft ever
I am not one to be the guy camping outside berea but i will be next year if we make moves like this.
-
LOL i will be sitting right next to you at Berea if they have a draft like this!!!
-
LOL-Its ugly enjoy!!!!
Round 1
Cleveland Browns: Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina
Jabaal Sheard has enjoyed a solid rookie year, but he's the only Cleveland defensive lineman consistently getting to the quarterback. Jayme Mitchell, playing on the other side, has been a big disappointment for the Browns in 2011.
It's a tough choice between Trent Richardson and Quinton Coples at this juncture. They're the two top available players on the consensus board. I've been going with the former in the past four updates, but Coples is a strong possibility because running backs have dropped in recent years, thanks to overabundance of talent at that position currently in the NFL.
Second pick in Round 1
Cleveland Browns: Cordy Glenn, G, Georgia
The Browns have huge holes at left guard and right tackle that they absolutely have to address this offseason. I'm aware that Eric Steinbach could return, but he's due $6 million. I don't know if Mike Holmgren wants to pay that type of money to a declining 32-year-old player coming off back surgery.
If the Browns let go of Steinbach, they'll have to find someone to fill his shoes because Jason Pinkston is terrible.
Round 2
Cleveland Browns: Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers
If the Browns can't acquire a blue-chip quarterback in the first round, Colt McCoy will be the starter again next year. If that's the case, they'll absolutely have to find him some help at receiver. Cleveland's offense lacks play-makers.
Round 3
Cleveland Browns: Levy Adcock, OT, Oklahoma State
As mentioned, the Browns have major holes at left guard and right tackle. This is their chance to shore up the latter, so Colt McCoy's not running for his life on every down next year.
And in 2013 the Cleveland Browns select.....
Cleveland Browns: C.J. Mosley, OLB, Alabama
The Browns need multiple upgrades at linebacker in the wake of their shift to the 4-3. They'll probably address this in the 2012 NFL Draft or the next two free agency periods, but you never know.
So in this case we will get a LB in 2013 and a WR in thesecond round from Rutgers

Why go after a DE when it is clear that you need a QB.
Robert Mathis will be a FA and we have the money.

With the way this season is turning out, and the way Holmgren acted on his press conference, I'm suprised that fans aren't already occupying Berea!

I'm leaning toward RG3, but is anybody else concerned that he's only 6'2? Colt is the same height and seems to get a lot of balls batted down.
I know Drew Brees is shorter, and Griffins athleticism makes up for a lot of the height thing, but its the only thing that bugs me.
Otherwise he seems like a true stud who can throw it all over the feild AND make it plays with his legs.

Yes, I asked the same questions about RGIII. Primarily, at his height what does he give us that Seneca Wallace doesn't?
Also....Matt Barkley is also only 6'2", same height as Colt. I do NOT see him as an upgrade at all over Colt. (but what do I know)
What about Cornerbacks Claiborne of LSU or Kirkpatrick of Ala.? Both of them are give top 5 run in a lot of mocks.
Most mocks have this Matt Kalil of USC going no.2 overall. What if he does slip to the Browns? Would anyone consider taking him, even though he is primarily a left tackle?
And though the Browns are more desperate at LB, it wouldn't hurt to have another DE to rush the passer opposite Sheard.

Quinton Coples has been compared to Julius Peppers in speed and build. He would make a nasty tandem with Sheard. Clearly Cordy Glenn and Levy Adcock are needed and would help the line tremendously. Glenn also has the size to play tackle if needed. Mohammed Sanu is similar to Greg Little in the fact that he is new to the receiver position. He was scouted out of high school as a safety and then was moved to quarterback as a freshman at Rutgers and now a Receiver the past 2 seasons. He's got great hands and is a potential gamebreaker with his elusiveness.

I think the Browns need to take either QB, WR or RB with first pick and defense or OL with second pick. I am leaning towards RG3 as well and against Barkley for same reasons you and others have mentioned. However if RG3 is gone I could live with Blackmon or Richardson with the first pick.

I honestly do not like any of the QB's this year, except Luck, and he is not going to be there. There are other ways to get a QB. I would rather spend my two firsts getting receiver help, a bad-ass linebacker, or an explosive RB ( find the best avail. of those three positions)

http://walterfootball.com/draft2012.php
Updated Walterfootball mock draft. Has us picking 5th behind Jags, even though I think we would be picking before them, and has us taking Barkley because the Jags take RGIII. Later in the 1st it has use taking Wright, the burner from Baylor. So we are one pick away from getting one of the best throwing and catching tandems in the NCAA last season which I think is cool.
-
im so tired of all these browns fan saying we need to draft a qb its getting so old i may agree colt may not be the guy but then again he may he has no playmakers i personally say we need to draft playmakers if we cant get luck i dont want a qb in the first round barkley is not going to be any better than colt and rg3 might be a little better cuz he can move around better but hes just a younger version of wallace if you get colt some playmakers on offense like blackmon/richardson then if colt cant do it then i would agree get a new qb but getting a new qb now wont do shit with no playmakers and then we will be back here in 2 years saying the same dam thing we need to get we need to draft offense first round and get a fast hard hiting lb in the 2nd
-
Excuse me, on offense the Browns are 30th in points scored and 29th in points per game. We are NOT taking a defensive player first, and maybe not second either.
Not sold on any qb other than Luck, get Colt some blocking and a legit #1 wr. If he flops you draft your qb in 2013.
With the WCO a running back is only an ancillary part, so probably not Richardson either. If we draft 4th, I wouldn't even be upset if we offered the Rams both our first round picks to get Blackmon.

Neo, you are correct on the other QBs besides Luck. A few look like good chances of being 1st rounders, but with question marks. If the Browns roll the dice on one they may have another McCoy or worse yet Quinn!!! Two first rounders need to be as sure things as they can and make direct impacts on the roster.

You also have to look at the Qb class next year and no one is any better than the three coming out this year Barkley,Luck and RG3 so that has to factor in....Also just resign Hillis him and Richardson are they same type of backs inside runners not homerun threats so its not worthy of a top 5 pick to take a RB that high
