  • only in cleveland is a dying position considered important....lol.

would be nice to see hillis around next year.

  • Why don't we just tag his azz

  • u wanna pay him $8mil?

That would be awesome. Don't forget, we get Brandon Jacobs back too. With Hillis coming back, RB moves from critical need to just a need ...

That would be a hell of a power run game if Jacobs was coming off the bench....

    Sorry, I've been drinking heavily.

And that's not a bad thing, after the stinker season the Browns put up. Down Florida way it's probably Margaritas, but up here in the cold weather its Port-o, Port-o, Porto. The real stuff from Portugal, accept no cheap American or Australian imitations.

The Brits said you could only properly drink the stuff in a month that had an "R"in it. Of course the Hoorta has January, February, March, Arbril, Mayr, Juner, Jurly, Argust, September, October, November, and December. 🙂

You don't have to bastardize April lol...it has an R already...

The running back position isn't what it used to be, but it ain't dying, and yes, it's important.

sry....was referring to FB, in response to michigan man.

  • For the right price they should resign him. He showed what he can really do against the Ravens late in the year. Plus it's one less position that needs addressed.

  • Starting to like the idea of re-signing Hillis, and drafting Richardson...

Would make for a nice ground and pound offense w/ a strong defense that could produce, similar to the 49ers (minus some on D)

Also, would take pressure off of our QB, whether it is McCoy or somebody else

  • Browns, please get this done. There is nothing better in the NFL than a balanced attack. If we can get a stud WR (or someone turn into one) or two, and have the back field just as dangerous, this could be good. Also, if they do sign him, I don't see us drafting Richardson. If fact I like Chris Ogbonnaya as well. I thought the guy made some very good, hard runs and moved the ball forward at times. Hill and Ooglyboogly could make a great tandem team.

  • Any discussion or consideration of drafting Richardson is stupid.

The question is not "is Richardson good" but rather : Who could we have instead of Richardson?

Blackmon, Coples, Kalil, RG3, Claiborne: All better - and more of a position of need - than RB.

Far better to resign Hillis than spend that pick on Richardson.

  • Why does Kalil's name keep coming up? We are NOT drafting a left tackle!!! You do not draft a primier left tackle and put him in at right tackle, would be a complete waste of his skills.

  • Yeah I don't think Kalil or Richardson should be in the equation at 4. Luck (pipe dream but I can hope), Blackmon or Griffin at 4 in that order. If none are there trade down and pick up as many picks as possible. Anybody else at 4 would be a reach.

  • blackmon at 4 is a reach....as are most of those that will be available.

perhaps you didn't notice, but blackmons stock is slipping. as it should...a smallish slow possession receiver thats barely ever faced man coverage isn't a lock to go top 5.

  • i love the hate for blackmon when we dont draft him and he becomes a star then maybe people will be like dam we should have took him i suppose it just people that think taking rg3 is going to turn the franchise around. yup thats the answer start all over with a new qb that will have to learn the system and take at least 2 years to form. no thank you ill take my chances with colt this year given the fact we will give him play makers and if he cant do it this year then u get you qb next year, cuz nexts year qb class is going to be deep

  • so what your saying is....wait till next year to start over with another QB? why waste the year?

Barely ever face man coverage? Your kidding right? Your talking about the best WR in college football this past year and your really going to say he never faced man coverage? Hell he would've killed for man coverage. I know y'all don't have much respect for Big 12 defenses but they are smart enough to realize you attempt to cover the most potent weapon in college football. I assume you also believe every defense in the Big 12 didn't even attempt to put a spy on RG3 because they don't know what a spy was. C'mon man that's quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read on this board.

  • wow...your evidence debunking my argument is staggering.

    🙄

  • no choco what im sayin is give colt a chance he hasnt even had 1 full year to do anything yet let alone have any playmakers

  • again....why waste another year? you dont think 22 starts qualifies as a full year?

what percentage of players do you think get a full 16 game season in any given year?

i dont really need any more games from colt to prove to me what he has. it is possibly to evaluate a QB on other metrics other than stats. in fact, most every team has these type of metrics. stats are more for fans.....you dont really think a coach looks at colts stat line and bases any decisions off that, do ya? remember, a dropped pass is still an incomplete. a completion can also be a poorly thrown ball.

this is a main reason why i avoid making stat based arguments. stats can mean anything you desire so long as you choose your sample data correctly.

do me a favor....try gaining some information on the subject if your gonna bust balls, cause i dont even watch college football, yet seem to know a bit more than you.

    http://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/blackmon_deserves_attention_in_fiesta_bowl/9013237

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Justin Blackmon did everything but salivate and suit up Thursday when he was told that Stanford defenders spoke of playing him man-to-man in the Fiesta Bowl. "Thats the best thing out there: one-on-one matchups," Blackmon said. See man. See man burned. See man turn and chase. Teams seldom challenge Blackmon that way. Its been slim to very slim, but I like it every time it happens," he said. "You are on your little island. Its whoever wants it more and whoever wants to go get it." Blackmon has been the king of the island the two years, although he is more often bracketed by zone defenses than permitted to work against single coverage. His numbers overwhelm, even given the fact that Oklahoma States spread offense caters to the passing game and he has a gifted quarterback in Brandon Weeden making the throws.

there's tons of articles like this around...try actually reading sometime.

    now run along....
