Browns Looking To Re-Sign Peyton Hillis
-
Starting to like the idea of re-signing Hillis, and drafting Richardson...
Would make for a nice ground and pound offense w/ a strong defense that could produce, similar to the 49ers (minus some on D)
Also, would take pressure off of our QB, whether it is McCoy or somebody else
-
Browns, please get this done. There is nothing better in the NFL than a balanced attack. If we can get a stud WR (or someone turn into one) or two, and have the back field just as dangerous, this could be good. Also, if they do sign him, I don't see us drafting Richardson. If fact I like Chris Ogbonnaya as well. I thought the guy made some very good, hard runs and moved the ball forward at times. Hill and Ooglyboogly could make a great tandem team.

Any discussion or consideration of drafting Richardson is stupid.
The question is not "is Richardson good" but rather : Who could we have instead of Richardson?
Blackmon, Coples, Kalil, RG3, Claiborne: All better - and more of a position of need - than RB.
Far better to resign Hillis than spend that pick on Richardson.

i love the hate for blackmon when we dont draft him and he becomes a star then maybe people will be like dam we should have took him i suppose it just people that think taking rg3 is going to turn the franchise around. yup thats the answer start all over with a new qb that will have to learn the system and take at least 2 years to form. no thank you ill take my chances with colt this year given the fact we will give him play makers and if he cant do it this year then u get you qb next year, cuz nexts year qb class is going to be deep

blackmon at 4 is a reach....as are most of those that will be available.
perhaps you didn't notice, but blackmons stock is slipping. as it should...a smallish slow possession receiver thats barely ever faced man coverage isn't a lock to go top 5.

Barely ever face man coverage? Your kidding right? Your talking about the best WR in college football this past year and your really going to say he never faced man coverage? Hell he would've killed for man coverage. I know y'all don't have much respect for Big 12 defenses but they are smart enough to realize you attempt to cover the most potent weapon in college football. I assume you also believe every defense in the Big 12 didn't even attempt to put a spy on RG3 because they don't know what a spy was. C'mon man that's quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read on this board.

no choco what im sayin is give colt a chance he hasnt even had 1 full year to do anything yet let alone have any playmakers
-
again....why waste another year? you dont think 22 starts qualifies as a full year?
what percentage of players do you think get a full 16 game season in any given year?
i dont really need any more games from colt to prove to me what he has. it is possibly to evaluate a QB on other metrics other than stats. in fact, most every team has these type of metrics. stats are more for fans.....you dont really think a coach looks at colts stat line and bases any decisions off that, do ya? remember, a dropped pass is still an incomplete. a completion can also be a poorly thrown ball.
this is a main reason why i avoid making stat based arguments. stats can mean anything you desire so long as you choose your sample data correctly.

do me a favor....try gaining some information on the subject if your gonna bust balls, cause i dont even watch college football, yet seem to know a bit more than you.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Justin Blackmon did everything but salivate and suit up Thursday when he was told that Stanford defenders spoke of playing him man-to-man in the Fiesta Bowl. "Thats the best thing out there: one-on-one matchups," Blackmon said. See man. See man burned. See man turn and chase. Teams seldom challenge Blackmon that way. Its been slim to very slim, but I like it every time it happens," he said. "You are on your little island. Its whoever wants it more and whoever wants to go get it." Blackmon has been the king of the island the two years, although he is more often bracketed by zone defenses than permitted to work against single coverage. His numbers overwhelm, even given the fact that Oklahoma States spread offense caters to the passing game and he has a gifted quarterback in Brandon Weeden making the throws.

Colt hasn't had ONE start with a legit RT, and a couple of quick, fast, get open fast wr's.
Baloney on thinkin that a new qb will solve those problems.

Have you watched him play? Ever? Im from Oklahoma so I've seen every single one of his games. He has been the focal point of every defense he has played the past two years. With that in mind every defense is going to do everything they possibly can to shut him down including zone coverage, man coverage, double teams, you name it, these defenses have tried it and yet he continued to put up huge numbers. In 2010 defenses had to account for Kendall Hunter (now with the 49ers) but in 2011 Blackmon was without a doubt Oklahoma State's biggest threat. OSU's running game in 2011, while still good, was no where near the level it has been since Gundy came to town. So with the running game not as good as in years past, and every defense knowing what Blackmon was capable of he still caught 121 passes (next closest on team was 71) for 1522 yards (next closest 715 yards) and 18 TD's (next closest 4). Honestly I'll be surprised if he even makes it to the 4 spot. Unless the Rams trade out of the 2 spot they will take him. He is head and shoulders above every other WR in this years class and barring injury he will become a big time playermaker in the NFL.

And how did he look against Stanford? Why don't you check out his stats for that game. If you don't watch college ball you probably shouldn't talk about it. Are you going to give people stock advice if you don't pay attention to the stock market?
Why don't you go ahead and run along

How can someone say we shouldn't take a guy when they don't even watch college football? Dude, you shouldn't even comment on anything draft related. I agree with Taco, run along little boy

im tired of everyone thinking rg3 is our savior hes going to come here and wont have anyone to throw to either and you guys on rg3s nuts will be saying the same thing about him in 2 years when his stats look bad for two years and we dont get to the playoffs cuz were turning it over again
-
i would rather have blackmon and Ryan Tannehill or blackmon and zach brown
