Yep I know. But I thought it would be interesting to see if peoples opinions changed at all from the pre-combine first round discussions. I've definitely cooled on Richardson and warmed up to RG3...not to the level some have but at least come to terms with taking a chance on him. I'm taking Chase in the late first just to be safe. I think we need him out there in the secondary as I'm not sold on going into the season with Sheldon Brown and Dimitri Patterson as starters...

Got the same problem over on the Skins boards. Lots of ghost voters who don't want to leave a response. Annoying as hell.

Curious to hear how much the voting is over there about trading up for Griffin.

Interesting stuff on ESPN Scott Van Pelt this afternoon. Your beat writer echoed your take- Shanahan will be under pressure to start winning now- something that may or may not happen if you sell the farm to get RGIII. Personally- even with Griffin- I don't see the 'Skins with enough talent to seriously contend with the Packers, 49ers, or Saints. You're sure not going to get any new blood in there either if you give away 4-5 picks- and bunch of them high ones.

& FWIW PG- I'm for moving up to get Griffin- within reason. We won't have a #22 in that scenario- if we did I'd take Mike Adams. Real life, we'll take a wr in the second round and a RT in the third.

PS- the same ESPN afternoon take was Burfict may have blown himself into the third day of the draft running that 5.0+ 40. There's offensive and defensive linemen that can break 5 seconds. Add in his on field temper and off field issues and word is a bunch of teams have totally taken him off their boards.

'Skins boards I have peeked at seem about as divided as we are over pursuing RG. The twist they add is conversation about active players to include in the trade package. Which board are you active in K-91?

              As for this poll...

I traded down the 4 and up the 22. Turn the 4 into an 10-ish and the 22 into a 12-ish.

I take Ingram and Kirkpatrick... but (and I've got my flamesuit handy) I really was impressed by DeCastro.

Not to bad of an ideal if you can muster up a few more picks out of the trades.

Who the heck voted to take Kahlil? I mean he would offer great depth behind Joe Thomas, I cannot figure that one out. I assume someone wants him to play RT which I guess would work but he would want LT money once his contract was up, so after 4/5 yrs he would be gone in FA.

He's a lazy piece of crap, that's why it wasn't a fluke. He just sucks and doesn't care. Great natural talent, but he's such a bitch about it.

He definitely has a natural ability and could be an amazing stud linebacker if he used his powers for good, rather than evil haha.

I chose to trade up to take RGIII. I then voted on #4 and #22 assuming we didn't trade up and selected Blackmon and Other. I don't like any of the options that were given at 22. I think if at all possible that the Browns trade up and don't have to give up the 22 then Wright would be a great choice but I can't see that happening.

                                What about

                                1st.Rg3

                                2nd.Doug Martin

                                3rd.Ryan Broyles

                                4th.Chase Minnifield

Broyles could be the biggest steal in this draft due to his injury,he has great hands and is a very polished WR...Reminds me of a Marvin Harrison

Minnfield may have the chance of slipping into the 4th due to his 5'10 height at the combine and also he didnt run..I think regardless he is gonna be a good CB.

Okay, here's to changing my mind again! LOL- Good Lord someone make up my mind for me!

Two years ago I knew I wanted Eric Berry or Suh... didn't get either...

Last year I KNEW I wanted Patrick Peterson or A.J. Green... same story...

This year I just cannot decide on who or what we should do...

I've heard multiple times that Justin Blackmon is a number 1 legitimate WR- we need that...

I've heard Morris Claiborn is the best pure cover corner in a long time- we need that...

I've heard Trent Richardson is the best RB prospect since AP- and if Hillis goes secret agent- we need that...

I've heard 1.4 million times that RG3 is gonna be an excellent QB at the next level- but I'm not not sure we don't already have that in Colt McCoy.

So I'm going to change my tune a little bit and state that we need to do this...

#4- Take Justin Blackmon to pair up with Greg Little and we'll have a potent #1 and #2 @ WR and more than serviceable slot receivers in Cribbs and Norwood- add Momass or Mitchell(post finger incident) and we've got a WR Group capable of being effective for Colt to get the pass going.

#22- This is where it gets tricky- Do we go best OT available and help protect Colt so he has time to find the open WRs that we'll have flying around? OR- do we find a way to trade back down and pick up Trent Richardson? I think that would give our offense a major jolt- adding Blackmon AND Richardson to our offense would increase our point production by 17 a game at least, I'm giving Trent a score on the ground and Blackmon one through the air... with increase offensive firepower and the ability to stay on the field and keep our D fresh I'm giving the D an extra turnover with good field position that translates to at minimum a FG.

                                  -Second Round-

I'm thinking we have to take someone here that makes the Offense make a tough decision on who to throw against on our D. It's a given that whoever is opposite Haden is gonna get picked on, so I'm campaigning for Chase Minnifield in this spot. A one/two CB Duo that would reignite the DawgPound of yesteryear and give our secondary a boost. Move Sheldon back to Free Safety to team up with T.J. Ward and put Patterson and Skrine in the nickel and dime packages and we've got ourselves a lockdown secondary.

*** This is as far as I'm willing to look as of right now because of the proposed trade down to pick up Trent Richardson I'm unsure what we'll have left and who might still be available. Just looking at what we could have in these three players though is enough to get me excited about the direction that our franchise is headed in...

                                  1- Blackmon

                                  2- Richardson

                                  3- Minnifield

I did a little research and to move up from 22 to 16 is what we would need to do to secure Richardson because if he's there at 17 the Bengals will take him... and if that were to happen we'd have fits trying to gameplan around Richardson, Green and Gresham. So I say we take him just before Cincy at 16. To make the move from 22 to 16 it'll take our #22(obviously) our third rounder and our first fourth rounder. Is this worth it? Or what about just giving them our #22 our first fourth rounder and Hardesty- I should mention that the NY Jets hold the 16th pick...

I would give up a 3rd nd a 4th to move up for Richardson, but I doubt it will happen

                                        What about

                                        1st.Rg3

                                        2nd.Doug Martin

                                        3rd.Ryan Broyles

                                        4th.Chase Minnifield

Broyles could be the biggest steal in this draft due to his injury,he has great hands and is a very polished WR...Reminds me of a Marvin Harrison

Minnfield may have the chance of slipping into the 4th due to his 5'10 height at the combine and also he didnt run..I think regardless he is gonna be a good CB.

Didn't know that- VT had him listed at 6'0" that's a big difference for a CB. Did he do a vertical or long jump? He'd better run at least a 4.5 on his Pro day to get serious consideration on day two.

No... Chase measured at 5'10" and did 7, count 'em 7, reps.

While I understand the bloodline desires, I'm not feeling Chase at all. He ain't his Daddy. If he were a Mathews, he'd be Casey, not Clay III.

This draft is seriously thin at DB. Only Claiborne, Kirkpatrick and maybe Jenkins are step in and start CB's. We need either one of them (I like Dre best) or we need a FA.

As for Richardson... no. I like the talent, but the durability question looms to large for my taste. IMO Doug Martin has Ray Rice-like potential that would make us forget Hillis.
