This is just to try to keep track of the comings and goings of all these QBs that have become FAs or what not. Here is what I think we have now:

    Seattle....Matt Flynn

Oakland....Just who is their QB? Campbell

    San Francisco....??? keeping Alex Smith?

    Arizona....keeping Kevin Kolb

    Denver....Peyton Manning

    Houston...keeping Matt Schaub

    Kansas City....keeping Matt Cassell

    Indy...drafting Andrew Luck

    Cleveland....keeping Colt McCoy

    Buffalo...keeping Ryan Fitzpatrick

    Jets....keeping Mark Sanchez

    Redskins...drafting Robert Griffin

Tennessee....apparently keeping either Matt Hasselback or Jake Locker

Jacksonville....keeping Blaine Gabbert or Matt Moore

Miami...maybe Alex Smith...if he doesn't stay with 49ers. If he does, who? David Garrard? Matt Leinert? draft Ryan Tannehill?

Have I missed anything. Please fill in any blanks or possibilities.

    Teams solid with their QBs:

    Chargers/Rivers, Cowboys/Romo, Vikings/Ponder, Rams/Bradford, Saints/Brees, Packers/Rodgers, Bears/Cutler, Lions/Stafford, Bengals/Dalton, Steelers/BR, Pats/Brady, Giants/E. Manning, Eagles/Vick, Ravens/Flacco, Panthers/Newton, Falcons/Ryan, Bucs/Freeman

Campbell signed with the Bears to backup Cutler so Palmer is the guy in Oakland.

Other than munchak giving the keys to locker, might as well draft a prospect. FA isn't looking good anymore

Palmer, of course. I forgot all about him.

Are you sure? I thought he signed up with JAX.....on, never mind, that was Chad Henne ( I knew it was a Dolphins QB). Is it the Phins plan to go with Moore this year? They may have to.

That may help the Browns if they're hoping Tannehill free falls down to #22.

Someone needs to sell me on Tannehill. I watched him toward the end of the season with great anticipation and went "Meh".

I could see why the Browns would be interested, I really I can. He has good size, lots of experience, and played in Mike Sherman's system.

Those are all big pluses in my book. But when I watched him play he seemed average arm, average accuracy, and a little slow making decisions. Meh.

I see the updside in him, but he kind makes me want to give Colt another year in the system and save the #22 for another starting player.

If the Browns DO draft him, I will feel OK because I know Holmgren is going off of Sherman's report on him and they are all on the same page when it comes to QBs.

I just wish somebody could get me excited about him, then I'd be the full-blown Shep "QB whore" that everyone loves to hate.

I'm with you. I was not overly impresses with Tannehill other than his size. Not that he is not good but not sure he would be better than Colt. Along those same lines next year, Barkley is basically a Colt replica so we should stop that talk now.

Or, are they going to make a play for Tebow?

I would say the 'Phins and the Jags are both strong contenders for Tebow. I know The Jags have a first rounder on their roster, but if they want ticket sales, Tebow is probably the route, or if they just flat out think that Tebow is better, or Gabbert doesnt have it.. Phins need a QB, and would help with ticket sales.

I actually go to school here at Texas A&M and i'm not even that impressed with Tannehill as a qb, i blame him for our loss to texas, he performed excellent in the first half and then faced more pressure later in the game and made poor decisions throwing interception. And this is only the collegiate level. He seems to get into ruts during games and if any of y'all (yes i'm a typical texan) saw any of our games during the season, our offense got shut down in the second half in the passing game. love the guy but he hasn't proven himself enough IMO to be drafted first round, he is however a fantastic athlete and was a pretty good receiver before he was the qb. I'm completely for keeping colt, giving him help and then drafting a better qb prospect next year if need be.

                              I'll give it a shot...

Watch again and focus on his feet (moving, but not dancing) and his release (straight from the shoulder and gone). He bounces, he squares up and he gets the ball gone fast. Arm strength is good enough. And he's a natural at rolling and throwing on the run.

Experience-wise I'm not sure how you call 1-1/2 years of Div 1 play "lots of experience"??? His first two years he was a WR... and a pretty good one. His productivity despite a lack of experience is one of the more intriguing things about Ryan.

                              And then there's his running...

I'll close by saying I would not spend a round 1 on him. I was full on with him when he was a 3rd rounder, which is where he finished 2011 and even a 2nd where he paused briefly during his recent rise. Now some mocks have us taking him at #4... 😮

                              Desperation is an ugly thing.

I would think, all things considered, Moore would start before Garrard....but...as was mentioned on here the Phins want to sell tickets and a lot of indications are that that team is more about sizzle than substance, so certainly Tybalt may be in the mix there. (I think that sizzle before substance attitude may be what caused people like Fisher, Flynn, Manning to spurn Miami).

How does everyone feel about Weeden? Granted, he's old, but if it weren't for his age it's been speculated that he would be right up there with Luck and Griffin.

How does everyone feel about Weeden? Granted, he's old, but if it weren't for his age it's been speculated that he would be right up there with Luck and Griffin.

Not just old, way too old. To invest a pick in a 29-yo rookie QB would be insane.

Age aside... he's a couple notches below RG who's a couple below Luck in my book.

I like Weedon, just not in the first or early second. Late second or early 3rd and I am fine with it.

I just wish somebody could get me excited about him, then I'd be the full-blown Shep "QB whore" that everyone loves to hate.

I was thinking along the lines of two-year starter in Big Boy conference with pro-style offense.

Wheeden is NOT too old...and there's no way Cleveland is sold on Colt McCoy. They wouldn't have sniffed at RG3 if they were. We heard all about how our offensive line was changed to suit Colt's strengths and the he only played a tad better, in yards...his completion % and win/loss record both dropped.
