Week 5 Game Impressions

Weeden still making bad decisions.
Cribbs needs to go.

We never call plays that throw past the marker..ever.
-
Refs blow
After the last to defended passes by our CB's, I'm sure the Giants fans agree...
We never call plays that throw past the marker..ever.
Makes it hard to explain the opening 61 yd TD pass to Gordon...

That interception on 3rd and 1 was when we lost the game. How the coaches call that play when T-Rich had been running at will on the Giants really baffles me. Poor QB decision also, the play had obviously broken down, he should have either thrown it out of bounds or taken the sack as we were still in field goal range. Instead he throws the pick, Giants score on that possession, Cribbs fumbles the kickoff return leading to another 7 points. Ballgame essentially over at that point.
We're the worst team in the NFL now, every other "2012 bad team" has had a win against theoretically better opponents this season. Miami, Indy, Rams all did it this week except us.

A bad headcoach and young players is a recipe for 2-14. Halsem can't get here fast enough

Weeden's two throw play for a TD. I don't care if that shit is illegal it was awesome.

Sad thing is- on further review, I really believe the Browns are not the worst team in the NFL talent wise. The guys are playing hard. However, it's soooooooooo f**king obvious Shurmer is far and away the "Mistake by the Lake".
ONE ballsy call going for it on fourth and short. However- where's the vertical passing game, when Weeden DOES have time to throw, and Gordon hauls in that 60 yarder. Huh?

Proud of the way these guys are playing. Richardson, as I believed all along is a stud.
Shurmur's Marty style offense aside, this team is just a few kep player away from being competitive.
I think they have lost for so long they don't know how to win.
Proud may be a bit over the top, but I hear you on the effort...
On the other hand... Don't look now, but your "stud" is 16th rushing and averaging 3.7 ypc...
TR is a talent no doubt, but he's not a difference maker... not now... not on this team... and maybe not ever. That was my argument pre-draft, and if either of us have been vindicated, at this point it'd have to be me. Had we traded down the #4, we could have landed a couple more of the "few" you say we need... this year.
Define "competitive"... 8 - 8???
I'll close by agreeing that there is a learning curve associated with "winning"... but with our youth they'd have to be really fast learners to master losing so quickly...
