I could never vote for Shurmur, Heckert, and Holmgren just because of the drafting we've been doing. Other than that, yea it has been going the wrong way.

They're all bad in their own ways.

Mangini's real downfall was not firing Dabol.

This is a meaningless choice. The poll is meaningless. How the fuck to you discern between who was the best............ of a bunch of fucking losers?

    Sorry, but this is idiotic.

Yup, sort of like asking what kind of turd stinks the least.

Incidentally, I'd only vote Heckert- because he's the only GM I've seen in recent history who hasn't drafted total busts on a regular basis. Holmgren and Shurmur can't get their walking papers soon enough IMHO. Contrast that with Chris Palmer, or Eric Mangini who (could) have been decent coaches but the FO was FUBAR.

Obviously you read what you want to read. It's about who was the worst.

My vote goes for the first staff of 1999.

Instead of taking solid veteran starters in the expansion draft they took a bunch of no names.

They drafted a QB with no offensive line and a horrible choice as coach.

We could of hit the ground running and built a veteran team who were ready to win, instead they went the other route and tried to develop a rookie QB under horrible circumstances.

It's not inconceivable to build a winner in 1-2 years, winning breeds winners and losing breeds losers.

Every regime since 1999 has been a bad regime and it all comes back to the lerners being hands off owners, hopefully haslam wont bring us more of the same..

Mike Brown is a hands on owner.

So is Jerry Jones but the fact that that Dallas is a high profile market means there are extra incentives for players there.

    So that mirigates his stupidity.

If we are going to start over every 2 years we will suck for ever.

Who would have believed that Mike Holmgren would have been such a colossal failure?

Actually it is not hard to believe. He was essentially a failure as an executive in Seattle. It was only when he gave that up to just coach that the Seahawks became decent.

As a coach he is quite a success. As a GM/Exec. he is a two time failure.

It just goes to show that sometimes people need to realize what they are good at and what they are not good at.

Holmgren wanting to become a GM/President just because he was a good HC would be like you insisting on playing lead guitar just because you can sing and write music.

You can play the guitar OK, but you can't match the likes of Bones, Russ, or even Marsek o lead. Fair to say?

I voted for PCP because they set the losing tone that the others were not able to overcome.

    But here's some separate awards:

Worst President: Holmgren. Policy was fricking horrible, but at least that team peaked at 9-7 four years in, Holmgren is on an 11 game losing streak in his third year.

Worst GM: Clark. Savage was no picnic, but he uncovered an occasional gem, Clark had a ton of draftpicks to work with and just grabbed mediocre players over and over.

Worst Coach: Shurmur has lost 11 straight and is 0-8 in the division, he is on pace to be the worst coach in NFL history.

Im with ya on that. Im probably in the minority when i say this but, I would be a happy fan if Haslem brought Mangini back. I really doubt that happens though for a number of reasons.

Oh I see your point Gipper but I don't recall hearing all that when we hired him.

seems like after all that time in different positions he'd at least have a grasp of the game?
