Anyone For A Bet?
-
Okay, it's getting to be that time. I would have much happier putting money on Obama before the first debate, and before these latest round of polls, but I still think he's the better bet to win.
Anyone want to bet? We'll play for Fisher House, as we always do. We can agree on a dollar figure individually. I'll take all comers, or most of them. Loser - and it could certainly be me, I read the polls - posts the donation receipt from Fisher House in here within three days of election night.
...Assuming we're not all waiting weeks for the results from Ohio to come in and the court cases to be settled.
Going to be a tight one....
-
Gallup's got Romney up 7 points.
Well start the bets at $10,000?
-
we have a bet already, heck, after you dodged and dippsydoodled for weeks on end.
I have Romney. You have a failure.
-
Anyone who is so confident can name me a dollar figure and we can go from there.
-
Not betting this time around. Let the chips fall where they may.
-
Come on, fellas. Romney is up seven in that Gallup poll.
-
You should bet Cal for livestock
-
Much like his political views, Cal's continued preference for the barter system is a bit antiquated. We'll reconvene when he accepts the legitimacy of paper currency.
-
Well, Butch, I aint a gamblin man.
But if I was I'd put my money on Obama for the reasons I've listed oftentimes before.
I still owe my ex wife, a staunch Democrat, dinner for my losing bet in the Kerry Bush race.
But I did take the Browns plus 1 last Sunday.
Unfortunately the bookie had already picked up the slips and gone by the time I got mine filled out.
Have at it.

I have no idea how this is going to turn out. I'd gotten used to listening to Tupa and my other number-crunching friends telling me that none of this campaign stuff matters and that the larger trends ensure the president's re-election. And then we had the first debate, which changed everything.
Obama looks okay in some swing state polls, and the national ones look better today, but I don't think anyone is confident. Romney seems to have broken through his ceiling and re-invented the perceptions of him. It's anyone's game.
-
As long as it's not another Bush/Gore recount. I think it is going to be very close voter wise, but well see how FL/OH/MI/WI and PA go.
-
I think you may well see Obama win the electoral college but lose the popular vote.
-
Fisher House for military families?
-
Yep.
-
I'll bet you a strawpenny Obama wins and bunker kills himself.
-
We'll reconvene when he accepts the legitimacy of paper currency. heckbunker

Your phoney magic president is making our currency value plummet in the future.
Weimar Republic.
If I were a liberalprogressiveselfinterestfool, I'd be glad, because
instead of selling a loaf of bread for a wheelbarrow of money....
I could sell eggs for 40 bucks a dozen.
I'd rather Romney win.
(no wonder heckbunker wants to bet currency - ObaMAO is going to make it worth little)
-
The only you bet can be sure of is that Romney will be able to grow our economy and get jobs for the 23 million unemployed.

God I hope so.... we are hurting badly.
Sucks for those people. I'm doing great.

That's because you are still a kid in school. Wait until you graduate. Things may not always be as rosey grasshopper.
