I think being a browns fan has helped me immensly to be able to stomach all the crap of the last four years and probably the next four. We are uniquely suited to handle this kind of spirit crushing disappointment.

You're spot on about the psyche of a town that is used to losing and crushing disappointments. I was raised as a Red Sox fan and that certainly affected my worldview. I expect bad things to happen even when they're going well. Buckner left a mark.

And yet you want to put all liberals and anyone who voted for Obama on ignore, over half of the country, and you also feel anyone who voted for Obama is likely beyond redemption. You might want to look more at your own political party and try to figure out why they decided to nominate a candidate so bad that he couldn't win an election against an incumbent that was sitting with 7.9% unemployment. This was a golden opportunity for republicans to retake the white house and make gains in the senate and house, yet they took losses in all 3 areas. Personally I think of myself as an independent and wanted to vote for the a republican candidate for the white house but when I saw the nominee's for the republican ticket there was no way....
