  • I don't think home schooling is the answer. They don't learn social skills when all they do is sit in front of a computer all day. Look at Woody.😆

The best post on this whole thread, atleast they will not have to suffer through all the political correct bullshit that is being shoved down the throats of all these youngins.

There is hope for America only if we have more responsible fathers like cysko who will take a stand.

Oh yes. If only we homeschooled all of the kids. Then that would fix everything...

    Homeschooled kids are weird bro

i too wondered if I should respond, - you are incredibly arrogant and misinformed

(if you are a compassionate educated individual)

But you are not, you are a concieted self serving spoiled brat

posing as a supposed college student with NO life experience and NOTHING

    to offer here.....

Home schooled kids are not the problem jerkoff

  • We've known all sorts of kids who were home schooled. They are outstanding. They have had

many of the same degree of social skills dev. Church groups. Local friends having parties, across

neighborhood lines. Some wanted to play sports, so they went over to hs for the last two or three years.

    They excelled.

Come on,woodpecker - your bigotry is getting to be more and more significant on this board.

Most other kids went to public schools.

MOST kids are home schooled because their parents are NOT happy with the safety and education

in their local public schools. Our one niece told us, who went to both, that the social pressures on kids, as well

as bullying, and the anti God, anti status quo maneuvering, made the benefits of activities not worth it.

Woodpecker, you NEED to stop posting like a maladjusted, hateful, ignorant little freshman in hs.

It doesn't fit with where you SAY you are in life.

    Yep I'm posing... totally...

Also, I never said they were the problem. Why the fuck would homeschool kids be the problem?

  • Homeschooled kids are only weird if they don't get any social interaction. In my case my kids have both first and second cousins their same age and my wife and I have numerous friends with kids their age so I'm not hurting for playmates.

The problem with public schooling is unless you send your kids to school in a prison it will never be very safe. Also, not to be sexist, but many teachers are both A: extremely liberal and B: women, and the combination makes them poor protectors. Just saying. It's getting to the day and age you damn near need an armed marine or a blackwater mercenary on guard at all times. Sad, and troubling.

So I take it you'll never let your kids swim in the ocean as well?

Exactly, shit happens. Not sending your kids to public school because of the risk of a shooting is just as dumb as not letting your kids swim in the ocean because of sharks.

I mean, unless you live in a really bad neighborhood and you can afford a private school, maybe then go for it

Though I've met some stuck up private school kids...

  • The fact of the matter is you cannot be sure of your children's safety if you remand them into other peoples custody. It's one thing when they're teenagers but as children? Forgive me if I don't trust Mrs. Mcghee to protect defenseless children from an armed maniac. If its myself, a six foot three, 260 lb former military man, maybe I get shot tackling this asshole to the ground, but maybe I buy the children enough time to get away, or maybe I inspire the other adults or even the children to swarm and take the weapons away. Maybe I don't but its a hell of a lot better chance than old lady Jenkins the lifelong teacher who believes in the intrinsic goodness of man has...

16 mass shootings happened this year. That's only four or more and doesn't even count tragedies like the chardon shooting. How many people were eaten by sharks in 2012 and what was the death toll in the deadliest shark attack? Your arguement is invalid.

  • To answer that question: 7 in 2011. Worldwide.

  • How about cars then? Don't let your kids ever ride in a car...

Point is school shootings happen rarely enough that using that as the reason to not send your kid to public school is dumb.

That's just my opinion. So clearly I'm wrong cuz I'm just a kid with no life experience....

Cars are dangerous without a doubt, but society has made it necessary that we travel in them and thus rules and regulations have been set in place that demand they be safer. With guns that statement I just made is completely the opposite.

I get that you're Hung up on statements I have made that accuse you of having little real world life experience. I'm sorry, but I stand by them. If we're both still alive and posting on the browns board political forums in ten years I will most likely rescind them.

Lol thanks. You did make a good point about the cars though. I still think not sending your kids to public schools for this reason is a bad one but its your choice.

  • Don't take it personally, I dont hate you like some of these guys. I like you and vapor both but when we all debate a lot I just say what I see. Like Randy Newman, but not in a crappy song.

  • Well short people suck so go Randy!

"True. Not to change the subject but homeschooling is a bad idea "

are you SURE that you are a Michigan U student - poser ?

or is all your blather we all get to enjoy just a trip through the legend of your own mind?

You said they aren't the problem. I agree, they aren't the problem. I never said they were. I just said I think homeschooling is a bad idea. Those two things ate completely different

but private schools, on the whole, produce better kids and for sure instill better principles and standards.

Taking out shitty inner city schools...

    prove it?
