Josh Mcdaniels Wants To Be In Cleveland

The rumor actually is that if McDaniels is hired as the next head coach that they would attempt to make a trade for Mallet.

Well if BB gives up Mallet...that means Bill dont think much of him...pass...

TEBOW ... TEBOW ... TEBOW !!!
I like that combination.
So many haters for Tebow, too bad. The guy was given a chance in Denver and he performed. His mechanics, yes not tradional, were Kosar's ? His work ethic second to none. If Denver had kept him, behind Manning that kid would've been a sponge for Mannings lessons.
The Jets went after Tebow because the Giants went to the Super Bowl and New Tork teams needs their attention. Rex Ryan is a putts and the team's going no nowhere, especially as long as they're committed to Sanchez. So, what do they do, try to take some limelight away from the Giants with getting Tebow, 'yea, that'll make some good controversy!'. 'We can't use the Ryan crap that we're headed for the Super Bowl again, so let's look for something else'. Freakin genius' in that organization, Ryan heading the pack. Half a coach anywhere else would've capitalized on what Tebow offers, and Yes, Tebow offers plenty.
It'd be great to see Tebow in one of two places - Jacksonville, to revitalize that franchise since fans are dropping off like flies and they'd love the home town boy playing there or in a Browns jersey.

I heard this rumor and was pissed. Then a friend who follows the Broncos closely talked me down. McDaniels drafted some pretty good players in Denver (Tebow withstanding). He also made Matt Cassell look good and same with Kyle Orton. He has a talent for offense without a doubt. The potential to be a great coach is there.
The negative is he screwed up a lot in Denver. Trading away franchise players because he was mad at them. If he matures and keeps his head on straight he could be good. But the question is... can he do that?

If he does come here, He won't have the authority to trade people, just because he doesn't like them

I'd trade patty boy for him any day. Pat never had the credentials for being a hc. McDaniels has shown he can run and offense. Hopefully he's learned from his past mistakes.

Tebow is a putrid QB thats why he is on the bench in NY, he is so bad he can't even supplant Sanchez. No thanks to Tebow he can stay far away from the Browns. I want a real QB not an option QB.

yeah. do you really think the jets wouldn't have played him (TEBOW!!) if they thought he was any good? (too bad they didn't realize that before they traded for him). sorry, the guy stinks.
i would take mcdaniels and mallet tomorrow. i thought he was one of the better QBs drafted in the last couple of years other than RG3 and luck.

Tebow needs a paradigm shift. He needs to accept his NFL fate and switch positions. Guys do it in college AND from college to the NFL. Tebow would make a decent TE or HB or FB potentially. He's a smart kid and works hard. Right now, he could be his own stumbling block.

Mcdaniels has done nothing without Tom Brady and the Patriots as a matter of fact he has made every other teams offense worse. He took over in Denver that offense was number 2 in the NFL and scored 40 TD's to one that became number 15 in the NFL and scored 30 TD's. Then came Mcdaniels creme dela creme he took over as Rams OC and took an offense that was 26th in the NFL and scored 27 TD'S to the 31 offense in the NFL and scored 16 TD's.
BTW the OC that he took over for in St Louis was Pat Shurmur.
Tim Tebow....are you fucking kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McDaniels is offensively aggressive and creatively smart hence there is no way in hell he ends up in cleveland..
What banner will want is some non creative, constantly over conservative Retard that cant find or wipe his own ass while sitting on a toilet not much different than what we have for a HC now..
When it comes to coaches and quarterbacks the cleveland browns tend to bring checker players to a chess match...
-
Isn't McDaniels a lot like Davis?
He'll get rid of any player with an ego he doesn't like.

The rumor I heard is a "Package deal" Mike Lombardi, Josh McDaniels, Ryan Mallet. So here is my opinion on each:
Lombardi: a downgrade from Heckert
McDaniels: an upgrade from Shurmur
Mallet: break even (at best) with Weeden. The only advantage is that he is younger.
Lombardi forms his opinions on players by looking at his sphincter, but when he does decide his sphincter puckers and he gets stubborn. Isn't this the guy that brought the world Clifford Charlton, Mike Junkin, Craig Powell and Jamarcus Russell?
McDaniels, I believe, is a fairly bright young offensive mind. Maybe I am prejudiced in his favor. He was born in the same hospital as me, and when he was a kid he used to ride his bike around my sister in laws neighborhood. A homey.
Mallet was a big lumbering QB from Arkansas that was outplayed by Terrelle Pryor. Why don't the Browns just go get Terrelle Pryor. His game could very well be better, and he would certainly have more mobility.
I am not opposed to him...I just don't know that he is an improvement.
-
Gator fan aside, I'd take Tim Tebow.....why not??? He wins.
-
McDaniels doesn't stir any interest to me. It seems like another half-baked and unqualified HC to lead us to at best 7-9 in the next 3 seasons until we fire him and start over... again.
Tebow? Dear God, please don't let this happen.
Mallet, another "meh" proposal. Unproven and will likely need a year to get up to speed, which is something I refuse to have with a team that has been emerging quickly this year.
Andy Reid and Alex Smith or Saban and Rivers(?). I'm down for that.
-
I'm pretty sure Mallet was a coke head in college
-
Rivers??? Yes please. Will everyone please stop posting about Tebow, you are going to give me nightmares
