Id post the whole article but for technical difficulties. Anyway, there's no point in overhauling it, its really not that big a deal. 50 billion a year for at least two years and 25 billion before that? Pfft. Chump change.

  • Unfortunately it's a win win for the president and his gang.

The worse the situation gets the more willing his deadbeat constituents ( a good portion of that 47 percent) are to eat the seed corn.

There will always be a few rich people left that they can blame for their own misery.

I think most even realize that we are headed for disaster without some serious cuts.

Unfortunately they are afraid and they really really want to believe that we don't have to.

When it brings on the next depression they can preach that socialism sermon even wilder.

The parent who says no is never the popular one.

  • We just keep kicking the can down the road, but it gets heavier with each kick. Soon enough we won't be able to kick it any longer.

  • I wonder why the heavy liberals have nothing to say about this.

  • Who are the heavy liberals?

  • Who are the heavy liberals?

    Good point.

Heck isn't here and some others don't really have enough opinion on record to matter.

  • I think heck and tupa are really the only ones who can really put forward intelligent arguments on the fiscal stuff. I'll take quantum physics over trying to understand rates and loopholes any day.

Oh snap I see what you did there.

I'll try to add more generalization s and attacks against liberals and "the 47%"

I'd venture to say that only to Tupa has much of an understanding.

But I do think that most of us here can see the big picture whether or not you choose to admit it.

They're both economists, are they not? From what I've gathered, one subscribes to Keynesian theory, the other subscribes to supply-side theory.

Yeah the term is bad, so where are the guys who argued that social security/disability was just fine and didn't need to be reformed? Because it certainly won't be able to go on much longer losing money hand over fist like this every year.
